I agree cat! i mean really this is the saddest rant topic yet. no one should have to tell you to not do this! it's just common sense. i mean, the people who we call "popular" are really no different than the rest of us, so thier more heard about, BIG DEAL! It's really not that serious. I've been here for a year now, and I'm not special, neither are a lot of others, so I don't know what makes others, particularly new members here that there supposed to alpha the site, it ridiculous.

You know, I feel like I just dont say things right, or your people cant read. THATS WHAT I WAS GETTING AT. I find it RUDE when someone goes off about how wonderful YOUR art is, and then just randomly says "Will you come visit mine...?" <.< Its like, "Uh, now that you ask, I dont think I will." Thats how it feels. And thats what I would say.

I suppose there's a level of toleration here...mine hasn't been reached yet, so I just wish I could make a stronger arguement here. XP As to what *I* think, any piece of work I do (whether it be stories or art), I value MY opinion above all others. ^^ I'm just a self-cenered person like that (I honestly don't see how people can find one of my works interesting when I -- myself -- the creator -- don't think so). That said, comments don't mean much to me. In fact, I value comments more that question, flame, and criticize my work rather than praise it (But of course, I wouldn't mind a little encouragement every now and then. XD) -- it gives me reasons to improve.

I LOVE your rant topics, cat! At least a person who doesn't hide the truth. It so good to have such precious person around here who get thing straight!

Well, people suck. We just dont talk about it. As you can tell the better artists who get noticed are in the higher pages. Or the people who are terribly bad at drawing just suck up to alot of people.

I don't mean to PICK on anyone, but ONE person here is sucking up and such to people so they can be the number one artist on the site. Just for the fame of being number one, even though they aren't the greatest artist on the site, and doesn't desirve it. I remember looking at her art and a few of her pictures descriptions say "I NEED MORE FAVES SO I CAN BE ON PAGE NUMBER ONE AS THE NUMBER ONE ARTIST!!!!11"....

And she keeps getting higher in the ranks for some reason. I don't know why, but she is more... 'honest'.. than Cat. No, she is in a bad way. To a lot of people.

And now this? I have no idea why someone would want to be number one for the fame. I only want to be number one if I am actually good at what I am doing. I want to be reconized for my good work, not for crappy work.

It doesn't bother me when this happens alot because I will look at like two pictures on a person's page if they ask or I may not at all. I don't care about fame on this site or any other really. Its the INTERNET! Its not like people like YOU just because your art is good.....or so I thought.....I have noticed with you, Cat that many people think just because they tell you your art and videos are good that they are best friends with you afterwards.For example,"Omg,your art is amazing I love it!!!" three days later......"I know I already said this but your art is amazing!!
and they keep doing it every several weeks. I feel sorry for you. That would drive me INSANE. News flash: Just because you say good things about people's work doesn't mean you can suck up too them! T___T So I am annoyed with alomst the same thing as you.SOME people on this site are just rude and don't think twice. That is why I am not extremely fond of Balto Source anymore.....too many suck-ups. Sorry if that sounded offensive to anyone but its the TRUTH.

Nonono, it IS true XD Nobody likes a kissass. Everybody wants a TRUE compliment, but mostly what I get are comments just so they can get a drawing from me, which doesn't work XD But yes, this site is full of "trouser-friendly kisses" and I just wanna slap them all XD

I'm right there with you Cat T__T I wonder why so many Balto Source members are Noobs......they need to be disposed of......like you said Nobody likes whiny noobish people who can't think rationally and make good choices.All the ones that do that are trying to draw more attention to themselves whether it be negative or poitive and than they THRIVE off it.
