Exactly. XD I don't really blame the mods, for the couple-hundred pictures they add each day, it's no wonder they let a couple slide by. But if these members would just read the rules and respect them, we wouldn't have this problem. What's so hard about it?

NO idea. Not the mods' faults at all, they have enough to worry about around the site. The members should know what they should and should NOT post.

Arright, I am one that has uploaded drawings of pictures of dragons onto the sight. As with trains.

I have read the rules before and maybe Im taking them in a different light. I am under the impression that if I have a wolf or a Balto related subject in the drawing, that it was okay. I was thinking that it didnt have to be 100% Balto, just be part of the main subject.
Now Im working on a drawing of Steele and Balto racing above, and two competing railroads below. Is that arright? It will show Balto.
Im about to upload a finished drawing of Balto and company in a rock band, Im sure thats arright. Right?
How about my latest (look at DragonWolf), is a wolf AND a dragon okay?

Basically what Im saying is what I said above. I thought that it was okay just as long as I had a wolf in the drawing. That was the whole point of me trying to combine Balto with everything else I like. Be as origional as I can. I do not try to copy others styles, I strive for my own. Straight from photos of wolves. I have never even seen Wolf's Rain or whatever mentioned.

Theres a Rail picture site online that I use to send pictures to. They have several moderators go through the pictures sent (Probably around 2000) and reject the ones they dont like. The same could apply here, reject the ones not Balto related enough.
I kind of expected that here but it wasnt. This here is the first negative feedback I have seen towards dragons...and probably trains.

Im not looking to get into trouble or any of that good stuff. Im expressing concern for a mistake I may have made.
Sorry for any annoyance I may have cause with non-Balto related stuff.

PLEASE respond concerning the examples I have told. Am I okay or not? Would you want me to take the ones that are not entirely of Balto down?

I agree 100% with Draco. In fact I thought of even making a topic similar before I saw this one It annoys me as well when there are lots of art to animals that are not in the Balto film. What annoys me more though, not directing this at anyone, is when there are gallerys on Balto Source where there is NO Balto art at all, and gallerys dedicated to other TV shows such as Wolf's Rain and GDW. This is a site for Balto fans and Balto art, not art for another show. The odd pic I don't mind, but whole gallerys dedicated to another program or film really bugs me. I think something should be done, and people should send up Balto art. Drawing wolves, dogs, your own canine characters ect. is alright I know, and I enjoy to see art like this, but no Balto art at all I'm not to sure about. Overall, I agree with Draco's points.

That's kind of annoying too, but atleast there posting wolves and/or dogs. There are some galleries that don't even have one picture, and it really annoys me because people fave them anyway. Pfft.

You know what? That's not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all.
I am also disappointed to see that people only send drawings of THEIR characters, and NOT the Balto characters.

So, maybe there should be a rule like this :

"From now on, fanart mods will upload your drawings only if you send at least ONE drawing of a Balto character in your gallery. Don't forget this is a Balto site, not a wolves or dogs site."

What's your opinion?

If you are talking one picture of a Balto character per gallery (or even one to two Balto character pictures a month, although it might be hard for the mods to keep track of that), that would be a very good idea that should work for both sides of this rant.

However, if you are talking about one Balto character each time you upload artwork, I think you would lose a fair amount of artists, as I know the majority of the members here enjoy uploading art of their own fan and original characters (myself included, although I don't think anyone would care if stopped uploading, lulz). Also, you would see a lot more screenshot traces/eyeballings, which aren't bad, but get a bit boring after you see the same screens redrawn over and over again.

Just my $0.02.

I agree with Kahvie. I don't draw Balto very good but one picture should be okay, if it's one everytime we upload then I wouldn't be able to make it work. XD

(In all honesty though, I wouldn't mind uploading more than one Balto picture myself...he just looks funny in my style, which is why I haven't done so yet:B)

Wow, annoyed seeing something not Balto. Well. Get a full time job and go to college full time and youll see whats annoying. Not much time is left for just Balto. Im just trying to combine everything I like. Maybe when a 8th day is added to the week, Ill have time for Balto. Okay, thanks for letting me vent...time for more homework. Sorry.

Because it never was a problem until people started disagreeing with the mods' decisions on what to and to not allow.



You've said everything I was just thinking.

One of the only reasons we ever have arguments on this site is because one person will suddenly have a problem with something that was previously allowed due to the fact that it doesn't conform to their standards. I don't understand why people can't just roll with it, y'know?
