Well, sometimes people come to me saying: "That is so unfair! I can't beleve steet did that!" (Why the heck do they come to me.. They should email you, steet... *is puzzled*) I really have no oppinion, I think it's a bit unfair. But I'm not in the gallery, so like I said. I really have no oppinion.

I said I will try to update the list regularly (even though some will probably stay), so that everyone can get a chance to be in it.

I'm curious about the fan art section, not related to the favourites though. Why do the artists names move up, down and side to side on a daily basis? Is there some sort of order created from how many page views they get or something?

It moves by how many images the artist has in their gallery. I think it'd be better to alphabetize because when it moves around like that it's hard to find just a certain artist.

Not on a daily basis, this happens only when the fan arts are updated. (so not more than once a week) But it may have changed recently because I removed one gallery. The order change a bit but not so much, so that you'll still be able to find someone rather quickly, than if it was at random.

The order used is the number of drawings in the galleries. I can't use an alphabetic order because that would mean that people who have a name starting with a letter such as "w" would get very few visits, and they would have no solution to get higher.
And even if it was an alphabetic order, the positions would still change since there would be new galleries at each fan arts update...

Well double post, but I have found a solution : I've added an option which permits you to choose which ordering you prefer. And this order will be kept (I use a cookie), so that you won't have to change it every time you go in the gallery By default, the order is the number of drawings, as usual.

It still hasn't helped ;P. If you implemented it as pageviews overall the top artists get more and more pageviews while the lower ones don't. Or if it's by favourites same thing.

Well this is something which was two years ago planified.
There were 12 galleries chosen as "best galleries" and they were added as Top. (they were chose by the Balto Source Team) and as you visited the Fan Artz page the topc galleries used to appear.
But that was a long time ago. Since steet added (last year I think?) the accounts thing and the add to favorites option, the Topc favz got removedl, in order to keep it "fair"..
