Spartan won I know from fact but my brother just went to see it today I heard its pretty good 5/5 stars

No. Sparta looses. There was no possible chance for them to win. They were extremely outnumbered. Over 100,000 Persians (The trailer says 1 Million, but that's just there to build up suspense) and only 300 Spartans. What set them apart was how long they held back the Persians from reaching Sparta. They all died, yes, that was eminent. But they never planned on returning to Sparta. They knew they were all going to die one way or another and, as you hear on the trailer, their philosophy is death in the battlefield is the greatese glory for any warrior. They just wanted to take out as many Persians as they possible could (which turned out to be a surprisingly large amount).

At first I wanted to see it. I'm a big history buff.
Then I found up it was rated R. Don't watch movies with that rating.
Sure it's a battle so it'll be gory.
Dad said he heard this guy talking about it and that it had slow motion blood spurting out of a guys neck when it got chopped off.
Hmmm. I won't go see it.
(Rated R for a reason)
Well, I don't blame you for wanting to avoid Rated R movies. But I don't see how a movie with a story like 300 could be rated anything else. But it's not only because of the killing and blood that made it get this rating. From what i've heard, there's also a pretty big adult scene in there somewhere before the big battle scenes really start.
However, i've gotten to where i never look or pay attention to what the ratings are on anything. Movies, games, TV. I just can't be bothered with it. When a movie is rated R, it simply means i need someone over the age of 18 to come with me to the movies to go see it. Either that, or wait for it to come out on DVD. As for the slow motion decapitation, i'll be looking forward to seeing that.
What I really want to see, is the scene where they use the Phalanx. You see a small bit of it in the trailer. And also, what's with the wolf in the trailer? Is that supposed to symbolise that they are fearless?
There was an older version of this movie made sometime in the 70 or 80's. It's basically got the same title. '300 Spartans' and it shows hardly any (if any at all) blood. It was good, but this new one looks by far a superior film.
Anyway, when is this movie going to come out? I didn't manage to get to the movies in time to see it. It's been over three months since it was released to theatres so it's got to be soon.
