I VOTE YES! I used to go on the shout box almost daily, but now it's gotten so annoying for me that I've just put off going there.

My join date says that I only joined in November, but I have been a member for much longer. (I was Dakotah..I believe I asked you to delete my account.)

Would there be, like, some sorta thing where it judges by your join date if you've been here long enough? Because if not, we would have alot of "n00bs" claiming they've been here for 4 years. XD

This further supports seperated groups, I mean what are we now? Are we older members better then the new ones? I think this just will cause more wars. What happened to age doesn't matter?

Some of the "n00bs" are okay, they use proper ponctuation, they don't spam..but the others..ugh...

Like Chasity, this isn't my first account. I didn't actually join in June. I joined on April 23rd on the account 'Flame.' I logged out one day. About a month later, I tried logging back in, but I had forgotten the password, and the email account I had sent the password too. I miss that account, but ah well...

Anyways, I say 'yes'. The newbies of the site almost always try and interrupt in a conversation, by spamming, and saying stupid things like, "I own a green lion!" And, they use a LOT of Chatspeak. It's really annoying, and I think it'd be bette if they had their own shoutbox, so they could talk about whatever they wanted to, (that followed the rules obviously), and we could enjoy a conversation without newies being constant pests.

Not all newbies are annoying and stupid. But a majority of them are. I'd probably come on the SB more if I didn't have to deal with brainless, irritating, newbies who can't type correctly.

Yes. The newer members allways have quesions, such as a pointless question.

I'm not to worrid though. I'm not a newbie. I've been around here scene Augeust 05. I was , but I never posted anything. well a little bit.

I think the <4 months idea would be the best. Doing it by posts would be asking for spam in my opinion. But I think a SB for older members would be a great idea. I like to come to the site and chat with friends I've made. Sometimes it's hard to do that when other, maybe younger more hyper (lol), members are on either spamming or being random. And I'm sure those members get irritated and/or annoyed at the older members when we're too serious about something or debating. So over all it's got my vote. Hope to see it around sometime soon, thank you Steet.

I think 9 months is a little harsh. Like I said, some of the so called n00bs are okay, but there are others who come on and whine about everything, for example:

I said about this earlier...I don't know now...too many different oppinions..

But creating this limit of time and posts...would be a little annoying..like..

How would you feel if,you couldn't post on the old members' Box,until you're AT LEAST 4 months old..maybe those newbies are multiple accounts,and they might not be posting during those 4 months..and they'll probably "leave"?...The newbies box will be empty...

I'm not against it..but...Oh well.

Aparently, more people agree with one.
Anyway, if I make it, it will be a test : if it doesn't work well, I'll still be able to remove it then.

Age is impossible to check on the web...Registration dates are.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Though new members would call it discriminating....that's just me. Still a box in which you can talk to someone without being bugged all the time sounds good.
