I was actaully in a play called "Braody now and then" it was a musical were we sing and dance to songs from other plays and we did the song "you cant stop the beat" from "Hairspray" and it was very fun so I think the moive might be really good.

Wow, that's really cool! I bet you guys did awesome! 
Anyways, the movie should be really good. It's already got review for its trailer and the critics are saying that it's really good. and John travolta in a fat suit? who could ask for more?

Wasn't Idina Mandzel (I think I spelled her name wrong D: ) going to be in this? I can't remember.. But even though she isn't, I'm sure Hairspray will be an awsome movie. :]
Nope, Idina was not signed on, maybe early early EARLY in production, but not now. Sadly.
Yes, Zac's in it. *groan* He's actually doing a decent job. You can listen to Ladie's Choice on Itunes. Soundtrack's out July 10th. (haha, if you all ask I might just start doing my hairspray news that I do on my other forums!)

Exactly. It looks like a great film. But then again the just HAD to put Zac Efron in it. I'm just afraid people won't seethe real film because they're only wathcing it because of Zac. What's the big deal with him anyway? I am surely going to watch it for pure enjoyment. It looks really good. I've seen previews for it and it looks basically like a good film. *sigh* But then again only some people will watch it for enjoyement. -_-

That's why I was so afraid when they put a PG rating on it. Now instead of snot-nosed Zac efron croonies, we get all the little girls who want to see it just because of him, and not to the themes and the music. That was my biggest apprehension when I saw he had signed on. But i do give the dud credit, he did a decent job singing. But I still hate him....that still stands.

Wouldn't they rather enjoy a movie rather than enjoy their favorite actors in it? Finally, someone who understands my piont of view. You don't rate a movie on who is in it, you rate it for the plot-line, genre, sequencing ect...
You enjoy a movie for a movie itself. One of my favorite actors is Johny Depp, and one of my favorite movies is Pet Sematary (this is just an example!) I love Pet Sematary, even though Johny Depp isn't in it. See? (I don't even think Johny Depp was born or something like that when Pet Sematary came out XD) That's why I'm going to enjoy Hairspray. It looks funny, and looks like it has the right people for the job. It'll be a blast. But one of the biggest turnoff's for me in this movie is Zac Efron. It makes it less appealing. But I'm still going to watch it. And I guarentee I'll love it!

Lol, I'm not gonna watch 'cause Zac's in it, I'm gonna watch it 'cause John Travolta's character looks funny...and 'cause the whole movie looks pretty cool . I've recently gotten into musicals (after watching the movie 'Grease' while on vacation), so I'll most likely see 'Hairspray'. It looks like a good movie, and if it's corny, who cares. I like corny movies .
