This is my opinion:

Pittbulls are dangerous. I don't trust them. Most of them are killers and they attack and sometimes kill people or their pets.

But that's only because their owners have TRAINED them to kill. Well raised pit bulls that have GOOD owners are very nice dogs.

Most of them? For one, all dogs can be dangerous, depending on how their trained - and what their past is. Not what their breed. And, ALL dogs can attack and sometimes kill people or their pets. All dogs can! Not just pit bulls. I doubt you know much about this breed, after reading your post.

However, pit bulls HAVE killed and HAVE attacked. Aswell as labrador retrievers, themself. I seen alot of Labrador Retriever Attacks around here oddly, but yeah.

That's just ONE example. I am believing in what I heard from a very reliable source. It's NOT the dogs. He wouldn't have told me that if it wasn't true.

They can't kill people...unless the trainers had trained them that way.

Any dog can kill people. But a pit will usually only attack other dogs if trained. But any dog will attack a person if provoked.

No, a pit can attack other dogs if it didn't like that dog. Erm, like it wasn't too good with females, males, other dogs. Period. My dog hates other dogs, and would attack any dog in sight. And, he doesn't like strangers.. period.

I was attacked by a chow for no reason, when I was six years old, just playing in the yard. =) And my friend's pit bull, who was well trained, never abused or ever trained to fight or kill, snapped at many people and tried to attack others for no reason...

Shoot. I forgot that part. xD. I knew I was forgeting something. My dog does that, too. She hates most strangers, but there are a few she gets along with fine. My dog will force down other female dogs, but only if they are younger than her, but that's different, because she's telling them she's boss.

The pit bull probably felt threatened when it snapped and stuff. That's what my dog does now. (She's older, too, though) Either that or the dog just wasn't right all the way.

all dogs can kill.i akita killed a 4 year old boy and the akita was only 3 months.a dalmation took a piece out of a little girls head and a pomeranium(i know i spelled it wrong)killed a 5 year old boy.

Unfortunately, folks, the REALITY is that the so-called "bully breeds" (and certain other breeds, such as Akitas and Chow Chows) are seen, generally, as intimidating-looking dogs, with a bad reputation and a penchant for violence. And it is almost always one of those breeds (specifically the American Pit Bull) which makes the news. Not Labrador Retrievers...not Golden Retrievers...not Siberian Huskies...not Beagles...not Poodles...not Bichon Frises. Those are just the plain, hard facts.

Blaming the public for this perception is plain stupidity. If anything, you should blame the news media, and every idiot criminal who buys and breeds such dogs for unethical purposes, and ALSO every idiot "wigger" teenager or twenty-something moron who's got masculinity issues (you know the type...you've seen them: they've got a wife-beater shirt on, a little too much jewelry, over-sized baggy pants, unbelievably-expensive basketball sneakers, and a baseball cap turned back, or else a visor cap turned back AND upside down...listen to gangsta rap and real hard, aggressive rock). THEY are the ones who seem to gravitate to the dangerous-looking, large bully breeds because they seem to be insecure in their own masculinity (and maybe compensating for it somehow by purchasing such a dog) because it makes them appear "bad" themselves.

Common citizens, who feel the way they do about bully breeds, may be SOMEWHAT misinformed, but they are NOT to blame. After all, most of those breeds WERE designed for fighting, or baiting bulls, or for use as war dogs. It is in their design to be aggressive and protective.

Yes, every dog is different...some are real pussycats. But just as a Siberian Husky was bred to PULL and RUN, and it can't be completely bred out of them (no matter how hard the show and conformation breeders and showers may try), so also is it not possible to entirely eliminate the bully breeds' design characteristics.

By the sounds of it you havent done very good research, grab a pen and paper and I'll give you a lesson on pitbulls. Yeah sure a Great Dane is tall but they do not have strong jaws like the pitbull, you know were the skull cracks on most of the bully breeds at the top of their heads well a pitbull has muscles gowing from there to the bottom of their jaws and that is how they get lock jaw. That is why stupid people use them not for size but for power. Oh and another thing Pitbulls were bred for baiting bulls but as time whent on thay became DOG killing machines people used and still do train them for dog fighting BUT and its a big but, they can not have a killing machine that attacks people as well as dogs because if they have to get in the middle of the two dogs they do not want to get bitten them selves! So when people first started to train pitties as fighting dogs they would beat them every time they bit a human, long story short the dogs learnt fast that biting people was wrong but biting dogs was ok and so when they got into fights their owners could get in the middle and pull them apart! And so I PROVE MY POINT!!!!! PITBULLS ARE NOT PEOPLE AGGRESSIVE BUT THEY ARE DOG AGGRESSIVE!
