ive never really thought about this. Ive always thought when balto saw jenna at the race it was the first time he'd seen her. But ive only seen the 1st movie a couple of times. I havent seen the movie in at least a year though. Only 2 parts stick out in my head.
1. When balto goes into town to find jenna then shows her his trick with the sun and the broken bottles.
2. When balto and the white wolf start howling.
Every other part ive forgotten.

I think that he'd always liked her but never had the strength nor courage to talk to her. When the diptheria broke out it gave him a reason to talk to her.. and a way to win her heart.
