Yeah, it's a little too late to make an introduction when you already have a few stars near your name.

Pff. Well, the stars and ranking never mattered much to me. It's the friends I've made, and the attention I seem to have garnered over my efforts in the True Story board (here in the forums), and with my fan fics and fan videos, which have all be very well received!
I must admit that I love and am gratified for the kindnesses people have shown me for the efforts, but I'd do them even if no one commented. For the sake of the history, I feel it is an obligation (a salute to those brave dogs and people, who are truly heroes). And the fan fics and fan videos are my expression of my fandom for the Balto cartoons and the real heroes. My gifts lay in a passion for history, expression through writing and visual and musical creativity - video work, pictures, etc. (which I am very lucky for).

I know they don't really matter much, but I'm just saying that it can show how long someone has been here (not always, since some people can post like crazy), and to make an introduction when one has been a member for a certain amount of time, would seem somewhat ridiculous.
And Sep, be careful when you say "pff" to some people. I actually thought you were calling me an idiot for a moment. I can see that you're not, but just be careful.

Dude...that's why I used this smiley:
I would have thought, by now, that everyone understands that it is common practice to use smileys to convey context. And the context I was trying to convey there was the equivalent of a playful elbow nudge. If I used the eyeroll smiley ( ), you might have a leg to stand on here.
Sheesh...

You know, we're just getting off on the wrong foot. How 'bout we just say this never happened, we forget about it, and we go home happy? I don't want my emosions to come over me as usual.

I love talking about many things ranging from Balto to rock music to video games to candy and pretty much whatever interests me. This isn't the only forums I go on, though. I also go to WrongPlanet (An Aspie community) sometimes.

.......okay so I let the topic go and what happens? Drama, go figure for the moment I'm going to interject my two cents in here and participate in it in an effort explain WHY I can't stand this. (Even if it is slightly going off topic in my own topic I'd like to be frank and honest with you all for once.) First off THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES! I really appreciate it! This topic has been very insightful. Hold on to your seats because here we go:

I had to look twice myself to see that you weren't, he clearly says he is aware you didn't mean to imply that he was.Rather than leave it alone (this would have made more sense seeing as he explained himself in the previous post) the little drama session continues Quote: PostPosted: Sat Dec 23, 2006 6:46 pm Post subject: 3DGWolf wrote: And Sep, be careful when you say "pff" to some people. Now in my opinion it seems as though this is basically calling him stupid and ignorant. Sarcasm really isn't needed you can't assume everyone understands everything you do. XP
Now honestly my intent isn't to single out individuals but to point out how pointless all of this drama is, I certainly didn't start coming to BaltoSource for stuff like that. And it totally ruins the mood for other people, no matter who you are. Now granted, I've participated in it myself several times, and if you look you'll see my posts in a few flaming wars I deny nothing. And Yes I realize that we have disagreements and we all need to speak our minds, I just think we should be able to conduct / stand up for ourselves in a more mature manner. Especially the older folks here, not only do they need to lead by example but they need to understand that younger people also have a brain and can contribute just as much as they can. And younger visitors need to understand that they can learn a thing or two from slightly (in some cases much) older users. No this is not a power trip, this is simply the passing on of "common knowledge" Remember we're all here in this together! We can all afford to learn a thing or two from each other.
Now you're probably thinking, well GEEEZ Lakoswolf did you have to write a freaking book about it? To that I will say, maybe because at this point I've noticed that NOBODY ever says they come here for flaming wars, drama, or sarcastic put downs, I think I've made my point.
If anyone should disagree you know where to find me, and if you're smart you won't bring more drama to the forums in the form of flames, or smart remarks.
Please continue this awesome discussion XP!
