What it is are the straps. They are snapping when people are swinging the controller about, and so the strap snaps and the controller smashes through the televsion. They are trying to fix the problem, I will get a Wii once they fix the problem as well as a PS3.
Also to Eclipita, you would love to see Nintendo get in any sort of trouble its not funny so do not act like this is a good thing.
To Jack: It really is the creators fault, evey console is not perfect and this was their draw back, if it was just one or two consoles then it is the controllers fault but a lot are being sent back, so it is probably more about the straps then the controller, though some people can get a bit to enthuastic.

How is it the creators fault if the person cannot control their actions?

Because I found out that the straps were very cheaply made and very unsafe, and you cannot release a console if there is a risk that it is not safe in a house. This was not just people getting way to excited, it was badly made, and Wii have understood that and that is why they are re-making the straps, they understand their flaw. Wii is still a mayjor sucess.

So every car company should recall their cars right? Because I mean there have been times when people get into accidents.
If your dumb enough to let go of the controller..you deserve to hit someone or something. Nintendo even has a warning...but noone listens

Intelligence has nothing to do with this, and its not about letting go, its about the strap breaking which is supposed to be there so they do not have to have a death grip on the controller, so when that snaps, it will slip out, its ridicolous to call people dumb, and your saying because they were not holding onto the controller with a tight grip, that they deserve to break their teleivison or hurt somebody, well that is reasonable.

They really don't, if they did, hundreds of them would not have been sent back, if this was true, tehy would not have made the straps stronger, this machine had a problem, a small one, but it was the producers fault, not the buyers, unless they say. Warning, do not get over excited while palying, otherwise the strap will break, then you cannot blame the buyer, you cannot send out machinary if any part of it is not safe to use in a house.

It does have a warning not to play too wildly...This is as rediculous as the "warning hot coffee" Label on coffee. so are you saying they should re-do cars so they dont crash? think about this. If a car slips off the road and crashes..is it the companies fault? No its human error...as is this.

It doesn't snap in a few swings. It snaps when the person who's playing it starts getting too into the game swinging it too fast in every direction for awhile.

Roxas, no actully I don't care if something bad happends to nintendo, I thought it was funny and my good mood about it is just simply positivity, and there is nothing wrong about being happy and positive on something that should be negative^^

This is as rediculous as the "warning hot coffee" Label on coffee. I was just about to say something about that. So if this strap problem is totally Nintendo's fault and not the fault of the buyer at all, then it must have completely been McDonalds' fault when that woman spilled coffee on herself in her car. McDonald's, what on earth were you thinking by making hot coffee?! ...yeah.
Beat ya to it..but Glad to see ur on the same page too.
