[quote=Togo]I have to say that it's probably the worst movie by Steven. I still like it, but it has a lot of errors, some of them really huge. Also, some (a lot, actually) points weren't developed enough. The first half of the movie was very very good, but I didn't like the second half and the final, which was a bit stupid and fast.
I agree with the messed up parts, for one, if all electronics are off, then how was there a guy with a video camera recording the machines, and two, why did they start capturing the humans after zapping them? It doesn't make sence.
I still think the acting and effects is good, though:

I really liked the entire movie. Esspecially this scene:
Tom Cruise is shouting at a soldier and poiinting frantically at one of the tripods. The soldier doesn't hear him.
"Sir, you have to get inside," he says.
"Look at the G** d*** birds!" Tom screams. The soldier notices the birds and then we unleash the full power of an infantry squad on that thing! Rockets, grenades, and bullets... Those poor aliens didn't stand a chance from that moment on.
True, true. But people goof up, its only human nature.
One question: The pic where everbody is staring at something and their faces are lit up by an orange light....
That light is from a passing passenger train, except its not the lights. The train is on fire. Flames licking out of every window, and the train itself is going full speed ahead.
I'll have to admit that really got my attention!
All I could think about was those poor souls trapped inside.
Anyway, I thought it was an awesome movie and I would recommend it to any one who likes suspensful flicks!
