No, Aluewolf, like Emily says you are being judge mental. A Pit Bull may have fighting blood in it but it can still be trained into a sweet, loyal dog. Although, like any dog with fighting blood it can turn.. but only if provoked. I doubt that many Pit Bulls actually would but there is a chance.
You can't just label Pit Bulls as aggresive fighting dogs either. Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers and Bulldogs were all fighting dogs.. why is it just a Pit Bull that you stereo-type with being aggresive?

Well...I've never owned a dog...so I'm no expert on them.
But, it is all down to the dogs' owners!!! It all depends on how they train the dogs!!! GOD! PPL CAN BE SO D*** JUDGEMENTAL!!!
Huskies and German Shepherd are my fave dogs in the world. And I would give almost anything to own one!!! I don't care whatsoever about their bad reputations!!! I WANT ONE!! XD
Sorry. I get a wee bit carried away at times xD
Anyway, back to the topic:
Yes, German Shepherds are known as Guard Dogs, and are known to be fierce. BUT HOW CAN THEY BE WHEN NO ONE'S TRAINED THEM!!! ANY DOG WILL ATTACK IF THEY FEEK THREATENED!!!
And about that guy you mentioned in your first post, Emily, was just plain stupid. Bringing home a mental dog instead of a lazy old one, while having a baby in the house!!! *pissed off* XD

Yeah, I agree with Starbuck. People don't do enough research about the breed they're getting... -mutters under breath about a friend of mum-.

I know of a dog, who was healthy and fed and trained - attacked me when I did nothing. =/ The dog was trained, and I knew the dog when it was a few weeks old. And, I KNOW the dog was trained and never abused. Because, heck - I live with the darn dog ever since it was a few weeks old. x_X And, is it the owner's fault that the dog attacked me? Was it my fault? D**** if it was. I was not scared at the dog. It was my mom's dog, and yes, I live with my mom ... But still, I was not scared. =/ I was outside always with the dog, and then, all the sudden - After just standing there, looking at the fence - The dog attacks me.. ....
But really, it really sometimes depend on the dog. =/ My friend got a pit bull for his b-day, and it was two years old. He snapped and bit some people, yet was calm and fine with others. Truly, I am no dog expert - But we both didn't know the dog's history.
A dog we know that was abused, yelled at, and everything - Well, the dog was great. The dog is shy of strangers, but would not bite anyone unless he was told too. He would let anyone touch him anywhere, and is great with kids - And, he's a chow chow mix. He's also great with cats. Yet, we know of a dog that was trained and raised pretty well - Yet the dog attacked someone who was just standing there, and they knew the dog ever since it was a puppy?
I am no dog expert, but yeah, I will get to know the dog before I say anything. I pat a stray pit bull on the streets, and she just laid on the ground, wanting to get pat some more and followed us. She was a sweetie, and yet, we seen a stray lab that was growling at me, snarling, hair raised up. And yes, a pure bred lab. The labrador retriever known as a "Friendly breed". Get to know the dog before saying anything, truly. -yawn-
Not necessarily. What gave you that idea? Also what bee brained idiot would leave an infant alone with a dog, honestly! It all depends on the temperment of the dog.
yes true
