Yeah. I definitely remember this movie. And I enjoyed it. The second one was kinda good too. But I I prefer the first over the second. :)

Auntie Shrew: Brisby!
Teresa: Oh, Auntie Shrew.
Cynthia: Oh, Auntie.
Martin: Oh, no!

Mrs. Brisby: I went to see the Great Owl.
Mr. Ages: Owl? You say you saw the Owl?
Mrs. Brisby: Yes. He told me to ask for Nicodemus.
Mr. Ages: Yes, I know Nicodemus.
Mrs. Brisby: He lives with the rats.
Mr. Ages: More specifically, he's the leader of the rats.
Mrs. Brisby: You know him?
Mr. Ages: [abruptly] No one has ever seen the Owl! And live to tell about it.

I always did like the art style for the first one. It really draws out the gloominess of the story.

When I saw it with my two brothers and my father when we rented it, my father would yell at us alot becuase he would be trying to follow the movie, what did we know, we were mere pups. Though my dad's favorite is American Tale, but that is just him. He had read the nimh books, so I guess that was the reason behind his obsession with the movie, he loves watching cartoons with us, no matter how old we are. He actually takes them seriously like we do even though it isn't necessarily aimed at his age bracket :)

He actually thought Balto was excellent, then again he likes Kevin Bacon (well at the time anyways, his recent roles have put him on the less that preferrable burner)

I allways said, say and will say. Animations are even better than movies, so it should under no circumstances be considered restricted to a certain age limit

I think the Owl was beautifully designed. :drunken: He's so intracate and is animated wonderfully and realistically. Just love that owl.

I enjoy NIMH, a lot. I think Jenner was the first, and probably the only, animated villan that smacked a female character. I prefer the first over the second by a long shot.

Steet, you should see The Plague Dogs, that movie is way darker then NIMH; too bad TPD was edited.

No offence but you need to get your eyes checked! Secret of NIMH 2 SUCKS!! EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS JUST WRONG, WRONG and... oh I forgot: WRONG! Characters, pictures, songs and the credits even make me puke as it says 'Mrs Ages' instead of Mr! Bloomin cheek!

Very Different opinions on the 2 one- I havn't seen it, actually I didn't really know that it existed till this thread appeared. I'd like to see it though- but the way it is being described here makes things look gloomy... When was the second one made?
