I guess you're right Togo, there are ALOT of fanfics.

Well, you're right. People shouldn't say something like if they don't mean it. They should use constructive cretisism.
Example:The story is good but, is confusing, try using paragraphs.

It may be hard, but its not impossible. It should just be another job for the mods to do. If they work together, it won't be as hard.

I'll tell you one thing: while the suggestion of checking over and comparing fan fictions is a good one, it would indeed be a HERCULEAN job. I already have been swamped with honoring Steet's request of checking existing fan fics for compliance. All while HydraPhalanx, the newest fan fic mod, is still trying to work out software issues in order to check and approve NEW fan fics. AND he's offered to help me with my own nightmare assignment.

Meanwhile, I'd sure like to know where Lone Wolf_fanwriter, balto678 and Jenna4Ever are! We could sure use their help! I mean, not to criticize these mods, but we NEED THE HELP! (I said, recently, to HydraPhalanx that I feel like I'm trying to take down Mount Everest with a little plastic spoon. There's just SO MUCH material to deal with already.

I know I haven't one more shred of time to devote to the suggestion offered about checking and comparing. Nope. Not one. Perhaps Steet could PM balto678, Jenna4Ever and Lone Wolf_fanwriter about this while HydraPhalanx and I try to sort through our individual tasks...

I am also very willing to help if the need be comes up. It may seem like an impossible job, but with a good team its quite possible and will assure no more 'stolen' fic ideas occur. Because if art theft isn't tolerated then Fan-fiction theft should not be either.

I have PMed all of them one or two weeks ago, and they all answered that they are still doing their fanfic mod job...Maybe they just don't know about the Mods box.

Ok, another thing that grinds my gears (this is more on personal preference) is music videos that have music that have NOTHING to do with the video. This covers music videos that A) Use ONE scene, with no transitions or effects or ANYTHING throughout. B) Using an extremely boring and disliked song. C) Using a funny song for serious purposes and vice versa and D) Just throwing random scenes together and calling it a masterpiece.

Any GOOD music video would not take the first three minutes of Balto and throw it onto a song called "Why Should I Worry?" or ANY song for that matter. Any GOOD music video would at LEAST take a couple of scenes and TRY to make them go ALONG WITH the music. THAT is what music videos are SUPPOSED to do. People are like "Well, I'm TRYING!" No. Shut up. Putting one god forsaken scene to a song is NOT trying. It's being LAZY. And the SAME thing goes to people who just put random scenes in with a song. What does the scene of Balto getting his arse kicked by a bear have anything to do with how "they love him at the Chelsey and adore him at the ritz"? Same thing goes with fanfic, ALL IT TAKES IS A LITTLE THOUGHT.

Any GOOD music video would not take the scenes of Scar and Simba fighting or Mufasa in the stampede and put them to "Lips of an Angel" (which not only is the stupidest song on the face of the planet, but also has nothing to do with the movie) Any GOOD music video would actually have a song that can RELATE to the movie being played. In turn, any GOOD music video would not put "What Is Love?" to Bambi when they're trying to make it serious! That's NOT a serious song, don't even try to make it one (and if you don't know what it's about, find out, and if you can't understand the language, STICK TO YOUR OWN LANGUAGE. NO ONE wants to see a video about Balto and Jenna's romantic moments to "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit!)

And I swear on everything brown and furry, if I see ONE MORE Green Day/Balto music video, I'm killing EVERYONE.

TELL ME, Im not the only one who finds these types (and others) of music videos VERY annoying.

(now, i dont expect steet or anyone to take care of anything, but this is still something i have the freedom to rant about)

I would have to agree their are some videos I've seen that are literally random clips of film put together just because the preson likes the song.

Just because you don't like a fic does not mean someone else won't. The people that leave those comments probably DO like their story.

Actually Cat, all I can say here is I think you have done what had to be done already. You made a tutorial, and you put up some rants. That's about all we can do, considering the fact that it would be impossible to read every fan fic on the site and tell them what's wrong with it. (ok, maybe it wouldn't be impossible, but it would be very time consuming.)

Actually, I'm forced to agree here. The song selection for a music video should have lyrics which tie in with the video clips you're using. That should be a no-brainer.

It's not appropriate, and hardly good artistry, to just slap together a bunch of video clips, and some transitions and effects, with a totally-unrelated song just because you happen to like the song personally...

Ok ANOTHER thing that ticks me off is people who spam (whether they know its spam or not) ALL OVER EVERY SINGLE TOPIC on EVERY SINGLE SECTION of the forums. What they do, is they make a comment 5 words long, give or take, and it has either NOTHING to do with the topic, isn't of ANY VALUE to the topic, or doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever.

Now, what exactly is the point of this??? No one cares what you think if you haven't anything intelligent to say. Raising your "rank" on this site has nothing to do with popularity (just because you've posted more comments than anyone else, doesn't mean you're cool. It just means YOU'RE AN IDIOT!) NOR does it have ANYTHING to do with BECOMING A MOD! Sorry to "break your hearts" BUT IT DOESN'T. How do you think the mods right now became mods??? By saying bullcrap sentences all over the forums to look like we were being involved??? NO! We're mods because STEET asked US to be mods (WE didn't ask HIM! HE asked US).

And if you continue to be an annoyance, YOU'LL NEVER BE A MOD. EVER. EVER! EVER!!! NOW STOP WITH THE SPAM!!! SPAM MAKES PEOPLE WANT TO HURT YOU SEVERELY!!!

Ah yeeeees...you would have to mean "_Angel_". She was on last night spamming the heck out of the forums...with mostly meaningless posts clearly meant to do nothing more than bulk up her post count. This is a very irresponsible member. I don't know whether or not she was going for trying to be a mod, but she certainly knows how to ruffle feathers, no?
