Only if they're related, SF.
Are you talking about "young love" or something, or just love in general?

I read a fantasy story long ago about Simba/Nala,where Simba winds up being the size of a mouse, and Nala does nothing but chase him all over Simba's cave, and at the end of the story, she winds up batting him high into the air,and waits for him to fall right onto her great big pink tongue, then he's in her throat, and finally with a gulp,Simba winds up in her stomach(gruesome, huh?)

. . . no comment . . .
I don't know, SF. I really don't.
Zorro the Coyote: Those are the fun ones, I'll admit it. But at least I know my limits and I choose when the time is right for those limits to be surpassed (this doesn't happen much, you know). But then again, I want to do something that no one else has done before (you know, something different? People are always asking "when will someone do something original and different?" and when someone does it, everyone gets pissy and grossed out by it that they soon want the norm again. Goodness, people - make up your mind already! If you don't like it, don't ask for something new and different anymore, okay?).

Completele agree, exept that the point that this useless articles are taking up too much space, when they should be on one big page of bloopers not a page for each one of them so I think they should just make a big page for people to send all the bloopers they find and post them there instead, that would solve the problem

Oh, please don't leave, Lunawings! *cries*
I mean, it's not my fault or anyone else's fault for the whole "gay/incest" obsession (really, it's not my fault. I blame the "obsessive fan-shippers" for this big thing.). I only did it to be different and bring something new to the fandom . . . and now everyone wants to be the next big thing by basing their new stuff on my (or someone else's) work. So if anyone should leave the site, it should be me.
But . . . I'm not leaving.
Not ever.
Well, not yet anyway . . .
I'll just hope and pray that the mods and anyone else that is higher than them do the right thing . . . but probably the gay/incest topics will still be a big problem (that and the spamming newbies. We'll never get rid of them!).
But I wish you good luck, no matter what you choose. There are still some good people here, and I'd hate to be the one that causes them to run away.

Ac, people do write stuff they don't particularly believe in for the sake of interest XD
Quote: There was no sexual material in Balto at all and that was a good thing.
About this. There's plenty of "sexual" stuff going on in Balto 1, it's just not extreme. But it is implied.

Not that I want to start a war or anything, but haven't any of you noticed that we have gone from all general fan fictions pet peeves to just gay/incest stories?
I believe that if the writer wishes to write a story like that, let them.
And I also believe that if any member does not approve of that style of story, then they have the choice to stop reading andpress the "Back" button.
If you read through the entire thing, having passed on multiple occassions to quit reading, you have no grounds to complaign. You had your chances to stop, but you didn't.

Hmm, to think this topic has gone from bloopers to fanfics so quickly . . .
I think you guys can understand why I changed the title of this topic so that I (and others who feel the same way) could rant about what gets on their nerves here.
Anyway, to reply to your comments:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sarafina Fanatic: Oh, how sweet. Well, you don't have to worry about me leaving the site or the forum! ^__^ So you'll still be able to read my latest fics! Yay.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Lunawings: *crosses fingers* May that never happen. That would be scary . . . but you know, someone else could make that site though.
-------------------------------------------------------------
silver_balto: Amen, my friend. Amen. And I hope this does not become a flame topic either. I really want to talk about different things, but it's no fun when it just ends up locked away due to a few flamers that are so against certain things. *sigh* It'll never stop, my friends.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Ac: Well, again I understand where you're coming from, but you gotta think about it: incest takes place all the time in the animal kingdom, whether it be in humans or other animals. I have done some research on the subject, and inbreeding is mainly used for keeping a bloodline strong in some areas; however, later down the lineage is when the effects of inbreeding takes its course (fewer offspring born, higher morality rate, birth defects or other conditions can occur, etc.). It is common among humans to do inbreeding themselves if they wish it, but in the wild (like with wolf packs), inbreeding does occur naturally. I suppose you could say that my stories of a brother and sister starting a family was only due to their wild instincts to keep their bloodline alive or something . . . I dunno - I'll leave this up to the reader.
However strange my story ideas may seem to be, I still have a way to make my stories at least have a hint of realism (based on the activities and actions of real dogs . . . most of the time) and human emotion (like with Balto's emotions on how he feels about his children, or how other dogs treat their fellow canines if they've done something wrong or look different).
-------------------------------------------------------------
To All: These being said, let the whole "gay/incest/OMG flame war" stop here. This is a rant board, thus we should rant . . . . about other things that bother us. As mentioned many times before, the topic has been discussed and locked many a time - so that is a sign to just let it go. Thank you.
Note: Yes, I know I am not a moderator (I was one for a short period, but it was in the "peaceful times" of BS - you older members might have remembered that, but I doubt it), but I will seek Moderator Action from a Mod if this is not inforced. I really hate to do this, but I'm just sick of people repeating the same darned argument, which leads to topics like this being locked.
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
And now, back to other things to rant about:
What the *BLEEP* makes a Good Article/Question?
If you ask me, it seems that although Steet has stated what should be included in a "good article" and a few fellow fans (such as myself and, of course, Steet himself) have written examples of "good articles," and yet it still seems that the articles are still filled with similar topics:
What breeds are the dogs? Again, we must mention the bloopers . . . Which pup is which? And many others that I can vaguely remember from memory.
(Yes, I understand that now Steet has assigned Mods to inspect the new questions and articles before they are approved for the site, and I am proud to salute you, whoever you are. I do believe that these short, poorly-written articles that make no sense will be minimized now that we have Moderators doing their assigned duties.)
But still, it seems that us article writers that do write these well-written pieces (such as my numerous WQ articles about animal symbolism, the "other" message, and other mysteries) do not recieve much praise as we deserve. No, I'm not saying that to be selfish or saying that I write these pieces so that I can receive popularity points or something; instead, I believe that for once, we deserve to be congratulated for doing what we are supposed to do: follow the rules of the site. I've noticed that many of the "pointless", short articles (that seem to be more like summaries that hardly ever make a good point) get more attention for not going into enough detail or not having proof to their point. What's up with that?
And the questions . . . *OMG*
The recent questions are some of the dumbest things have ever heard. I've even seen repeats of previously-asked questions when it clearly states that a person should do a search to see if their question(s) have already been asked. Apparently, people are not doing this. (Newbs, perhaps? I do believe so.) I understand that a mod cannot be God and can't do everything at once, but honestly . . . are the mods themselves making sure that a new question is not just a repeat as well? Because that would save a lot of time (but, it would make the "newbies" think that they're getting off the hook easy, so . . . it's up to you) for us who do follow the rules and wish to answer new and interesting questions, not the same crap over and over again.
*sigh* I'll leave the rest up to you guys to think about . . . my fingers are starting to hurt from all of this typing . . .
Rant on, my friends.
