"He's after you?" Kyan said slowly. He put his arms around Adi, trying to comfort her as she cried. "I'll do the best I can to make him leave - I won't let him or anyone else hurt you." He kissed her head lightly before asking the next question. "How powerful is he? And does Mick know he's hunting you?"

"Part werewolf?" Kyan seemed to think for a while before replying. "I can shift into a wolf - that might come in handy." He paused, then continued. "I'll take care of him, Adi, a friend of Giles or not. I just want you to be safe." With that, Kyan hugged her tightly once more before pulling away. "Just stay up here, or somewhere where people can't find you."

Kyan tried to smile, but couldn't quite get one out. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." He said in a reassuring voice. Kyan glanced back at Adi once more, then walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. He closed his eyes for a moment, breathing in a sigh as he thought of how he could handle Matt before going down into the main room. He cast a glance towards Matt again before taking a place beside the wall.

Matt looked over at Kyan, "Kyan, right?" Matt asked, "You aren't that much of a talker," Matt added. Lance had a bad feeling, he stood strieght up and begin to pace again, hoping that Dean would make it safe out of surgery.

Kyan was silent for a moment, then spoke up a bit. "Never really have been." His tone was the same as when he first introduced himself - flat, with a bit of coldness in it - the way it usually was when he first met someone, or was talking to someone he didn't know too well.

Matt walked over to Kyan, "Why don't you tell me about yourself Kyan?" Matt asked Kyan. Mick watched Matt and Kyan closely, and wondered why Adi had went upstairs.

Kyan seemed to shrink back a bit as Matt approached him - this reminded him too much about what had happened in his past. He had been asked almost the same thing by an FBI agent, one he didn't know wanted him arrested. He accidentally let things slip to that officer long ago, and he wasn't about to make the same mistake now.
"How about I don't..." Kyan breathed out sharply. You could tell he was afraid.

Kyan's heart seemed to beat faster as Matt spoke of this, and he felt himself shrinking farther back. He was supposed to help Adi - he was supposed to get rid of Matt. But how could he do this when Matt was haunting him about his past? Whenever he remembered anything in his past, he would be sent on a guilt trip that could last for hours.
He didn't mean to kill them... it wasn't his fault. The thoughts were repeating in his head, echoing against his skull. And all he could manage to mumble out was a faint "Shut up..."

Mick stepped in between Kyan and Matt, "Ok guys, cool it," Mick said to them, "Enough," Mick added. Matt nodded to Mick, "Sorry, boy," Matt said to Kyan.

Kyan stayed still, although you could tell he was shaking a little. He hated being scared, but his past always made him afraid. Afraid that it would happen again. He never told anyone about why he had killed the officers that day - if he hadn't done that, his parents wouldn't be dead. His siblings wouldn't have been sent to a foster home. They wouldn't be afraid of him. They would know where he was...
Fear holding it's place in his eyes, Kyan slid down the wall a bit, still making sure he kept watching Matt...

Matt walked back over to Giles. Erik walked over to Kyan, "Are you alright?" Erik asked, he felt Kyan was shaking and wanted to know what was troubling him.

Kyan glanced at Erik quickly, trying to keep his attention on Matt as much as he could. He nodded to Erik's question, muttering out an "I'm fine.", hoping he'd believe it.
