Nice rules, Steet. Now, I quoted something I said because I don't think anyone really saw this, but I think we haven't addressed the kind of un-creative violence that I know some people (I shall not name anyone, but I don't think they've posted here on this thread) have done at least in role-plays and some fics.

I didn't write these ones, Lonewolf fanwriter did. I'm not an english native speaker, that's why I miss some vocabulary to exactly express what I want to say.

Oh, he did... well, maybe I'll ask him.
(Steet, I can relate to that. I can speak French pretty well, but I'm not a native French speaker, so I can't entirely express everything I want to say either.)

As for violence.RTW's stories tend to have a lot of violence. But there are many warnings.I think that as long as warnings are present, then it'll be fine.If a kid decides to read it even though there are warnings like that, then that's their choice.
I totally agree.I mean, you should actually read the warnings. There there for a reason, ya know.

And this is going in circles.
I tried to find solutions, but I know now that there can't be any. So, I guess the only thing I could do is impose my position, my view on what should be allowed and what shouldn't. I'm sorry if you don't all agree with it, but I guess there couldn't be any other thing to do, and I hope you can understand that.

*sigh*
I feel sorry for you, Steet, that you have to deal with all of this. If you can't please everyone, just try to at least please the general members. Maybe have a test run or something of your new system, so that maybe it might change the minds of the "confused".
Or just leave things the way they are. If some people don't like it, meh. It's your site, not theirs (right?) - you have the highest authority of the rules and regulations, so just do something.
Whatever your final decision may be, I will try to imply to them no matter what!

I thought you did that already, by the posting of the rules. Look, in reality, with the large number of people on this site, you know you won't be able to please 100% of the people. However, I see a VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE of people complaining. And those are the ones who, really, probably feel they have the most to lose (and should be scrutinized more closely anyway).
Don't fret, Steet. You did a GOOD job!

I think it should be aloud. If you're worried about little kids read it, make it so they can't. When it comes to registering, ask them their DOB and go from there.
Or if all fails, you can always make another Balto site where it's for adults only. Obviously it doesn't have to be big and fancy like this site. It can have a small forum: a General Discussion, adult fan work, and maybe a couple of adult Role Playing boards and that's it. It doesn't need "Movie" or "Book" forums.

Alright...
I feel I owe Steet an apology.
It seems that many of the fics that I thought wouldn't be accepted under the "new" rules actually will be.
I blew the entire thing way out of proportion.
Steet I'm extremely sorry!
As for my comment about leaving?
I can't believe I actually said that! Baltosource is my home away from home. It's where I go when I feel down to pick myself back up.
My readers have absolutely NOTHING to fear. I'm NEVER leaving Baltosouce!
Again, I apolagize Steet and I hope the other's will see (as I have) that the rules aren't as restrictive as they may seem at first glance.
I think you've done a great job at finding a compromise on a touchy subject Steet and I applaude you for it!

P.S.
Oh yeah, my new story "Sawyer's Falls" is up on the forums now, so I invite you to check it out and tell me what you think.
It's a little... different than my other's.
I'm still working on Two Hearts Racing...
*Sigh*
Yes, writer's block affects even RTW.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

The "kids" don't HAVE to read them... It's their choice so there should be no problem.

Impossible to do on the web, anyone can write anything they want, even lies.

Yeah. The only way you can be sure of someone's age is to ask for a credit card number...

Yeah, I kind of figured that. How about making a small Adult Balto site and/or maybe an all out Adult fan art/fic site? Like I said, it doesn't have to be huge, just somewhere for people to post stuff they don't feel comfortable posting here.
