Just a side note on the permission slip thing, if you're a legal adult 18+ in the US I don't believe one would be required heh. And I'll check up on some places that we could have it as well. I'm assuming you want prices and everything? Also, did you guys wanna designate someone to keep track of the budget for this thing? Also would we be reserving Hotels and stuff or is that going to be done by the people attending?

Well, the purpose of the permission slip is so that the parents know what's going on, and they'll know where their child will be and when. It also helps us organize chaperones and other volunteers to help us out with this.

As for the budget, we'll have to wait for Whitewolf to come tomorrow to find more about that. Just check back later and we should have even more figured out!

It would be helpful to have someone handle the budget...we could all donate a little bit of money to rent a room for a few hours in some hotel near wherever we decide to meet first. I can get the permission slips out! But I think we should wait for Whitewolf to get here before we add another person to help us.

Yeah. I still have to run the idea by Whitewolf. I have Yahoo, too. So if Kari and Whitewolf do, too, and they think it's a good idea, then we might be able to do that.

I just thought of one more reason why I want to come along,so you'll know what I look like.

this has been suggested befor also it would be really hard because most of us live in differant countries so we couldnt really set up a time ect. its possibale but not very probibale.

It's kind of ironic how none of the organizers have the same instant messaging program. I guess we'll have to find a way around that. We could either download MSN or AIM so that we all have it, or we could just keep discussing here. PMs would also work, but not as well, because we can't talk to everyone at the same time.


Yes, it was suggested in the Others section before by Anaiyak, but we never actually got as far as this topic has gotten. Also, if you took the time to read other pages in the topic, we said that we had a solution to people living in different countries. We're going to have different meetings in different places.

Budget: I have a way to raise plenty of funds to pay for hotel function room fees and I'm not really sure how we could all donate money to pay for it without giving each other our bank details and...er...no, not a good idea.
Different Countries: well as for this we were thinking one in USA (Chicago probably) and , if all goes well, another somewhere in Europe but if we were to have different meetings in each country that there is member then it would mean lots of money to pay for it and very few people at each one so sacrifices might need to be made, there will be plenty of time to raise money for flights, also, there are a lot of people who know each other off-site so maybe people would volunteer tp give lifts.
The over 18 thing: The ID tags are also so we know who is coming, if we say that if you're 18+ you don't need an ID tag then anyone could just wander in from the street and you know , lots of kids, busy place, easy to lose someone so I would suggest everyone wears one all the time.
IMs: I will get an IM account so we can use this, good idea tibb, if not e-mails or PMs may have to suffice for now.
Dusty: As I have said before the event is for everyone on BS who wants to come along, if you mean that you want to be an organizer you will need to tell me, tibb, Kari and Nick why you want to be one.
Lakoswolf: I could probably sort-out the budget but we could use someone to keep track of all people attending the event, if you're interested we could use the help.
