Well, it was a well-fleshed out story . . . with layers . . . (Scamp's Adventure was, I mean) (WARNING: Minor spoilers for the sequel, if you haven't seen it)
I mean, think about it: You had many different relationships going on:
- Scamp/Angel - One wishes to be wild and free, while the other (hiding within that wild 'n' free lifestyle) wishes to be a normal house dog with a loving family to call her own. Together, their growing puppy-love relationship was similar to Lady and Tramp's in the original movie.
- Tramp/Lady - Now that they are raising their triplet "Lady-clones" and Tramp's "Mini-Me", they've been still having a comfy relationship with each other. With exception of raising Scamp, of course.
- Tramp/Buster - Well, they have a bad relationship, thanks to the events of the first film. I won't go too far into this, but if you've seen the film, the way that the story shows how they developed into who they are now is so perfectly perfect (or as Buster says it: "Beautiful" . . . XD Sorry, I had to say it!).
- Jock/Trusty - Nothing much has changed really. Trusty still has no nose sense, Jock really is the same old Jock (a bit quieter than he was in the original), and all's well.
- Tramp/Scamp - The Parent-Child relationship. It reminds me of Balto/Aleu and Balto/Kodi to different points (Balto/Aleu - inherited appearances and actions, headstrongness, overprotective parental situations, secrets of the past (before settling down) ; Balto/Kodi - Father/Son relationship mainly).
I think you get the point, right? The characters are well-developed and their different relationships with other characters helps them grow a little more.
Oh yeah, here's a little Angel/Scamp thing from me. Feel free to use it, but mention that I made it, OK? (I think it's rather cute . . . the lighting was perfect! Screencapped by me)

Well that sounds brilliant since scamp and angel's was about the same.......I love disney classics cause walt disney is the mastermind and he shall thrive on the second reminded me of the lion king 2 and wolf quest.....seriously they need to stop making characters with the same personality and "not understanding themselves"....seriously im tired of this krud. Lady and the tramp is one of my favorite disney movies EVER!!!!

The first was a classic. It was brilliently animated for it's time, as for it's storyline and it still is great considering how "lacking" some 2-D animation is today. The second, not so much, but it wasn't god-awful either.

Love your avvie. -loves Wolf's Rain-
Anyways, I think Scamp and Angel were cute together but now you say that, your right. They were too young for that, and I hated how Angel kissed Scamp or whatever when they first seen each other. -_- I mean, would you go and kiss a stranger? Okay, I know. It's a cartoon. Just had to get that off my chest. At least the animation wasn't bad, but Lady and Tramp was hardly in it and that bothered me. It's called Lady and The Tramp. It should be called; Scamp And The Angel, truly. It showed them more than Lady and Tramp. xD

True, true.
Think about it: Lady and the Tramp was released in 1955 (I do believe that is right). Animation was still pretty basic - you had your cartoons and all, but the really good animation took years to make, as in the Disney classics. Especially since there were no computers back then, and every bit of the film was hand-drawn, hand-painted, and . . . well, done by hand!
Today, it seems that much of it is done by computer (backgrounds, 3-D stuff, digital painting, etc.), while the basic rough animation and touch-ups are still done by hand (and the storyboards too - we can't forget those now, can we?). Perhaps if today's animators returned to the old-style of animation (2-D, much of it hand-made/drawn/painted/etc.), things (including sequels) could be much better IMO.
I agree, the L&tT sequel wasn't bad, but it was predictable (with the puppy love and Scamp's realization of where he really belongs; you knew it would happen anyway - it's a Disney movie, for goodness sake.). There wasn't anything "bad" bad about it, but a lot could have been changed for the better, perhaps. It did have a feel of a younger version of the original (this time, Scamp was like his father (except bound by the rules of being a collared house dog), while Angel was a mix of both Lady and Tramp (she was free to roam whereever she pleased, but she secretly yearned for a home with a human). Of course, some of the scenes mirrored the original - the spaghetti scene at Tony's, the park and the bridge, and other stuff.), but it was given an update to show the new generation of fans (and to the characters too, since Scamp was Lady and Tramp's son).

Yeah I think they should have been older too, but I think animators were too used to the original "young dog" style, you know? They either have them as puppies or full-grown dogs, never in between (at least hardly ever) But even so, that's no excuse, that's just promoting bad behavior from children, especially on the girls' parts XD I mean, Angel was too much of a fluzie, you HAVE to admit it. Only a ***** would bring herself on strange guys openly LOL On another note, we don't really know what breed of dog Angel was, so she may have already been full-grown for all we know. But then we'd have to wonder what she was doing with a younger male and all of that other legal stuff that folks just don't want to get into! But yeah, they were too young and they should've been depicted as older better.
And I don't think they could have shown any more of Lady and Tramp because you already know what happened to them and what's happening to them presently. But yeah, the title "Lady and the Tramp 2" just did not fit it. And "Angel and the Scamp" (or vice versa) just sounds weird and unrelating XD.
But yeah, agreeing with Juuchan here, the movie was very predictable. That was the worst part of it. The animation was good, the new characters were interesting, the old characters stayed true to their old selves, it had action in it as well (which is a big deal on entertainment). But yes, the plotline would've covered alot more stuff than Scamp just wondering where he belongs. They could've done alot more with it and I wish they did.

Well, time-wise, you could say that Scamp and the brats (his sisters) were over six months old, since they were born near Christmas in the previous film and the sequel took place near July 4th. It's impossible to know how old Angel was, but thanks to her talk with Scamp about her previous times with families, you figure she has to be older than Scamp (By her looks, she's probably a Pomerainan (sp?) so I suppose that's why she still looks like a pup but had attracted Buster's fancy (and Scamp's too); but she's also quite mature, so I suppose she's about a year old in my books.).
But when you think about this "puppy love" thing, the same thing happened to Lady and Tramp when they first met: Lady was about the same age as Scamp was in the sequel, while it seemed that Tramp was older (and more of a pimp XD) and street-wise.
See the similarities here? So this should be perfectly normal!
But I agree, the pups should have all been older at least. Or at least have a time lapse sequence (like the one in L&tT leading up to the birth of Darling and Jim Dear's baby). That would have really been interesting to see in the sequel while Scamp's attraction to Angel grows as his yearning to be free from his doghouse chains grows stronger. (God, why couldn't they have thought of this? It's pure genius.)
And if they had called it "Angel and the Scamp/Scamp and the Angel", omg, I would hate that. The old title (Scamp's Adventure) is so much better, but the "A&tS" thing sounds more true . . . again with the whole homage to the original, but I feel it still doesn't work for a continuation sequel. (well, neither does "Scamp's Adventure" - *writer's thought session* I mean, ooh, Lady and Tramp's son goes on an adventure! Whoopie. Boooooring. I know! Let's make it into a L&tT sequel by adding the number "2" to it! Yes, it's a perfect money-maker! *sold* XD) Blah.

They were NOT too young!!!!! Bith were adolescent, possibly 13 or 14 if they were humans
And I agree with Juunchan17, the relationships were very cute and very helpful ^^
But, as everyone keeps saying, Angel was very foreward, but don't any of you beleive in Love at First Site? HELLO?!? It's an ANIMATED MOVIE!!! And, if any of you watch juvenile love films, you'll find that Love at First Site is rather common
Kadaj: Aye, Scamp and Angel's were pretty much the same, but what blossoms between them is called 'Young Love', while everyone describes Lady and Tramp's relationship as 'True Love', and True Love takes months to determine, and Lady and Tramp spent half-a-day together
Just stating my opinion xD
(oh, and Juunchan17, i like the sig you made alot!!! ^_^ xD)

Well, what do you expect from a "young love" relationship created by the people at Disney Studios? So here's another L&tT-SA similarity: The set of lovers fell in love (almost) at first sight.
Note I put the "almost" in there, since in the original film, Lady and Tramp first meet months before Darling's baby is born. Thanks to his ironic speech of what was to come in her future, things happened just like that. And it's a good thing that he met her too, because she wouldn't have had a prayer when those mean dogs were chasing her in the alley, which gives Tramp a chance to be her hero and caused the two of them to (unexpectedly) fall in love.
However, with SA (the sequel), Angel and Scamp first meet while the Junkyard Dogs are causing trouble with the dogcatcher and his hat lands within Scamp's reach, thus leading to Angel giving Scamp a quick peck on the cheek of the young wild dog. Perhaps this was the spark that really made him want to break free from his chains of rules, keeping clean, and being a human's house pet and become a Junkyard Dog (like Buster, since he was his idol at the time). I think it actually takes the two of them a while before they actually fall in love, so it was still a quickly-blooming romance (just like Lady and Tramp's in the first).
(Glad you like my sig! I might start making some more to post on BS soon, so look for it!)

Half a day? Weren't they friends kinda or whatever for a few months? Didn't they meet after the baby was born? (I haven't seen this movie in awhile.) Plus, as you said;; It is an animated movie. They both were. So, even if they both spent half-a-day together, you don't see Lady kissing a stranger. xD No, sorry.. but their both animated movies and even if they weren't, they still would be .. movies. Animated or not. It's a movie. xD
Oh well, LAT 2 was better than Balto 2 ... atleast.

no....it was half-a-day. Lady ran away from Aunt Sarah, a pack of fierce dogs chased her, Tramp saved her, xD they went to the zoo and a beaver removed Lady's muzzle, that night they went a resteraunt ect. ect.
Pretty much half-a-day If not, less xD

Really? Weren't Darling going to have a baby? and since they ignored Lady, Lady grew sad and those two dogs(forgot their name) came walking up to her and tried to make her feel better but Tramp came walking up, and started talking and then it went to a few months later .. ?
