Rikkes walked down the street, examining several vendor's wears. He bought a pretty silver necklace with a dragon as a charm for Racheal, should they get to know each other better and a new rapier for himself. He strapped it beside his short sword with satisfaction and continued on his way.

Kailen reached his house but Racheal had turned off into the crowd somewhere. She was just going to check on Zorro and Zeus before going back to her brother's house. She saw that her animals were being cared for with a tender hand but a very small boy, about average age and average height. Racheal coughed into her sleeve, walking back towards the house. When she got there her brother was holding crushed ice in a cup, handing it out to her. She took it with her left hand and ate some of it. She sat on the couch and relaxed, the maid eyeing her curious. Around Racheal's eyes and nose was red. But why?

Rikkes bought himself two apples and started to eat one as he walked. He could get used to this peace, it almost seemed serreal. He smiled friendly at a young boy who stood at the side of the street and tossed the extra apple to him with a grin. The boy grinned back and thanked him with a slight nod.

Pulling her shirt over her shoulder Kailen eyed the branding on Racheal's shoulder. He shook his head, "I don't think I can do anything to help you but it's not that bad... Really." He said and sighed, pulling her shirt back down. Racheal shook her head, wondering if Rikkes was okay or if he was out getting mugged or something. Thoughts clouded her head as she began to think. Kailen took a deep breath, watching as his sister left the house again. Racheal had her knife tucked in her leg holster, pulling a big cloak over her shoulders and putting the hood up. She hid her features from others.

Rikkes hummed softly at he walked, enjoying the peacefulness around him. He'd never been one for violence, trouble found him every so often, and he was a deadly opponent when he chose to be, having been raised and trained as a killer. But, he preferred his books and warm home which made him different from Racheal. He didn't mind getting out and in his big home hidden deep in the forest he spent hours outside in his animal forms going on long walks and experimenting, but he had a gentle soul.

Racheal moved the crowd, keeping a watchful eye on those who walked by her. Just in case one of the men happened to be Rikkes. After a few minutes she finally found him, watching for a few seconds before nodding and walking around by herself. She went to a very small library, walking inside with her jaw set. She walked up and down every aisle of books until she came across the fantasy books. She grabbed about 5.

Rikkes continued to explore the city, keeping to the main streets to avoid getting in a tight spot. He continued on his way down the street, occasionally stopping to look at the people's wares.

Racheal searched further after getting the 5 books. She soon grabbed a small black notebook, looking over it with curiousity. She slipped it into her cloak before walked toward the owner, handing the old woman a few coins. She managed to slip out un-noticed by a few guards outside but she knew she would be wanted.

Rikkes sighed, turning back after a while. He hadn't seen any birds yet, which made him sort of sad. But, then again she didn't blame them. It was a sky less heaven and therefor not for them. He'd seen other creatures, like the pure white horses that the people had.

Racheal sat in the living room of her brother's house again, reading the book she had picked out. "So Racheal." Kailen began, pouring ice into a small sack and lifting her shirt. He noticed that the branding was getting swollen so he needed to help tend to that. "Who is this Jasper your talking about?" Racheal stopped reading immediately, looking away from her book. She shook her head and looked over her shoulder, "I-I'll talk about it when we're all here. So I won't tell it twice."

Rikkes once satisfied in his explorations for the day, started back towards Racheal's brother's house. He walked slowly, taking his time, but soon it was in sight and he reached the door. Knocking lightly, he waited, feeling like it wouldn't be polite to just barge in. He was just a guest after all.

Racheal grabbed the tip of her knife, "Come in." She said, readying herself for anything to come. She was expecting guards or the prince to have come back bent on revenge or something. Kailen looked up at the door and then back down at Racheal's shoulder. He put the ice on her shoulder, shaking his head.

Rikkes poked his head in when the maid got the door. He smiled at her, "Thanks." he said and walked in, heading towards the living room, happy to have gotten some time to explore in peace.

Kailen took the ice off of Racheal's back and looked at her, "Okay now that were all here, now will you tell us what Jasper is?" He said, looking her over. Racheal looked over her shoulder and nodded. "Yeah. Jasper was my son." She said and looked over at Kailen, who was in shock. "Jasper died the night he was born. Nobody knew of him because I was solitary for the whole 9 months." She said, sighing.

Rikkes sat down and listened silently. He had gathered as much from everything he had seen. He sighed, feeling terribly bad for her, but knowing there was nothing he could really do about it, it was past.
