Lyric looked down at Mello, then up at Prince, then down to Warbler.
'Where'd she meet him?' Lyric thought to herself, then she lost her train of thought completely as she glanced back up at Prince.

Prince smiled down at the boy, the scars were completely natural to him and didn't even rattle him, he'd seen so much worse.
"I sure am," he nodded. "And you must be Mello huh kid?" he paused. "It's a pleasure to meet ya."

Mello Smiled, and Warbler pulled him into another hug, before letting him shake Prince and Lyric's hands. His hands were, too, coated with scars, though only on the right side, as if he was half scarred half not.
"Pleasure, for me too sir. Im just a good friend of Warbs' here," He explained smiling down at her. "We met... Well, she found me really!" he said, pausing. "But you don't wanna hear my story.." He said chuckling a bit.

Lyric looked down at Mello.
"Where'd you guys meet? You seem like almost exact opposites," she then looked over at Warbler.

Prince shrugged after shaking hands with Mello.
"We all got stories Mello," he chuckled. "You wanna tell it, then im all ears. You dont, then im not gonna make ya."

Mello's hand fell into his pocket as he shrugged, and then smiled.
"Guess I will then," he said following Warbler inside.
"When I was little, my parents sold me to this man, who was training to be a top notch assassin. I, during training, was attacked and well.... I almost died, if Warbler hadn't found me running on the street..." he said slowly, moving his hands over his eye where the deep scars impaled his fur and skin.

"After that I was on the street and got attacked, while protecting Warbler. And he shot me... Six times in the chest... But Warbs here was smart enough to call the police and I lived..." he finished, rubbing his chest.


Ooc: I know six shots to the chest seems unlikely to survive, but the assassin knew about this stuff and he didn't want to kill Mello, and if you get them at the ECM act right spot, you can live.

Lyric's eyes widened as he told the story.
"How...the frick..are you alive?!" She gasped. "Six times? ....Wow...." she looked down at the boy.

"Six times.." Prince shook his head. "That's a kick. You're real lucky to be alive." Prince said, remembering the amount of people he'd seen shot and killed in his life time.

Mello sighed, and Warbler, smiled at him.
"Yeah... I WAS dying, but Warbler saved me. She took me to her parents who..." He paused, knowing how Warbler felt about her parents. "They took me to the ER, and saved me just in time...." He smiled at Prince, and took in a shaky breath.

Lyric just looked down at Mello, not knowing what to say.

Prince nodded.
"I see," he said, then not wanting to push the point further, changed the subjected. "So," he said. "Have you always lived in Colorado?"

Mello, shrugged.
"Kind of on the run really, ive been in Colorado for about a year now, just to be close to Warbs, but Princey keeps trying to bring me back..." He sighed, as Warbler hugged him again.

Lyric perked ad looked up at Prince.
"Prin...cey..... is your.." she said, seeming really confused.

Prince perked.
"Wait." he said. "Princey...he's after you?" he questioned, glancing at Lyric and shaking his head, hoping she wouldn't say anything.

Mello looked up at him.
"He was my master, and he wanted me to be just like him, until i almost got killed so i was proven to be 'un worthy' and now he wants... to kill me." He said, then looking closer at Prince. "You know.. he kinda looks like you....?" He questioned.
