"Ok...and how long until his ribs heal?" asked Kate, still worried for her mate.
"Yeah...wait said? She strangled him..." said Garth.
Aurora nodded. "I know," she said, rolling over. "Think Humphrey is ok?"

Mary sighed, tihnking. "Well, they're nto too bad, they're only cracked. none of his ribs broke. I'd say wait until the next full moon, and he should be good as new!" she said with a smile. "I'll be coming along every day or two to bring fresh harbs, just in case he's still in pain."
Lilly blushed, and shrugged. "Well when I asked her about it afterwards, she said it was because they weren't mates."
Tobias sat up slowly, cocking his head ot the side. "I dunno. Wanta go check?"

Kate nodded, laying down beside her drugged mate. "I love him and worry about him...thanks so much for helpping us."
Aurora nodded. "Yeah, I want to!"
Garth nodded. "Understood...still, kind of overreacting since Kate clearly hadn't been...you know, forcebred by him or nothing..."

Humphrey, coming off his fit of giggles, laid his head on Kate's neck. "Wh... What does it mean when you can't feel yourself blink?"
Mary giggled. "Means it's working." she said, looking at Kate. "Im glad you do. I'm so happy you two are so happy together." she said with a smile. " And it's my job to help. It's a pleasure."
"We were all worried for days..." Lilly said with a blush, glad she didn't have her mother's temper.
Tobias giggled and wagged his tail. "Alright!"

Kate nuzzled her mate. "Well thanks," she said. She then looked to Humphrey. "I love you Humphrey..."
"Yeah, true..." said Garth. "Anyway, with Humphrey and Kate out, we'll need to do some work."
Aurora nodded, jumping up and running that way.

Humphrey smiled drowsily, sighing. "I love you too Kate, and you know it. Don't you?' he asked, his tail wagging. Mary left them be, going to tend other pack members.
Lilly smiled. 'I don't mind. I like feeling useful." she said, looking exceptionally happy.
Tobias ran after her, giggling all the way.

Kate licked his cheek. "You're the best mate I could ask for...remember how loopy that tranq dart they shot us with made us?"
Garth nodded. "Let's get going," he said. "We need to look around and make sure everything is in order."
Aurora nodded. "Think Kate took care of those bullies?"

Humphrey smiled, nodding slowly. He couldn't feel his head. "Yea... But it's like it is now, I am feeling no pain."
Lilly nodded, her tail wagging in anticipation. "Definitely. Though I'm sure nothing's all that bad..."
Tobias nodded, making a cute serious face. "Yep!"

Kate nodded, smiling. "Yeah, I'm glad it made the pain stop," she said. "But I'm still worried...those two bullies hurt you like this...I'm afraid of what they might do, but I don't want to banish them ether."/color]
[color=#FF8000]Garth nodded, leading the way again. "Well I just get worried sometimes, you know?" he asked. "This is a lot of responsiblity."
Aurora nodded. "Yeah, they wouldn't get off easy for hurting Mr. Humphrey, though they're lucky Mrs. Eve didn't find out."

"Don't worry about it, they've learned their lesson." said Humphrey, smiling. like a goof. Seemed he was still a little loopy. "I wouldn't want to cause the pack to lose two good hunters. After what you did, I don't think they'll want to mess around with me anymore."
"I...feel a little bad in saying I really don't know what it's completely like." said Lilly, embarrassed. "But I can try to sympathize!"
Tobias shivered, whimpering. "She's scary when she's angry."

Kate nodded. "Yeah...think my impression of mom helpped?"
Garth smiled. "Well you do your best to keep up right?" he asked. He then stopped and looked round, it felt like they were being watched, but he didn't see anyone.
Aurora nodded. "Yeah, though Kate is scary when she's mad too."

Humphrey nodded, a little limp in the neck. "If I wasn't almost knocked out I'd be shaking." he said with a big smile.
Lilly nodded, bumping into to Garth when he stopped. "Wh-what's the matter?" she asked, concerned.

Kate nuzzeled him softly. "Well I think it scared them pretty bad, so I hope they got taught a lesson."
"Something doesn't feel right," said Garth, looking around. "It feels like we're being watched."

"I do too," said Humphrey, nuzzling back. "I don't think I like the idea of this happening to anyone else."
Lilly stayed close, ears folding back as she looked around. "Can you smell anything strange?" she asked him, looking to her mate with fearful eyes.

Katie nodded, then cringed upon feeling something stepping on her tail. She looked back and smiled at Aurora trying to sneak into the den. "Hello there."
Aurora chuckled nerviously, removing her paw from Kate's tail. "Sorry...we were worried about Humphrey."
---------------
Garth sniffed the air. "No...but it just doesn't feel right."
