Hailey doesn't notice Zion's blush, but her hand drops from his anyway, as she reaches for the bow. "wooooah" she mouths,"that is..so.AWESOME!!!"
She wiggles with excitment. "Thank you so much ben!!!" she gives him a tight hug. "I can't wait to try it out!" she exclaims and takes an arrow out of the quiver," how do I shoot?" she asks eagerly.

Ben chuckled " Im glad you like it! Well to use a bo-"

Zion interrupted "I can teach her! I know how to use bows!" Zion jumped next to Hailey

Ben blinked "You know..?"

Zion nodded "I use to watch the Guards at times practice their Bows! i can teach her myself" he really wanted to be able to Teach hailey how to instead of learning a slower way from Ben. but he didnt let his body language show Ben that feeling

Ben shrugged "Its all up to Hailey, Zion." He turned to Hailey "Would you rather have Zion show you? or I?"

Hailey blinks and squirms uncomfortably.."well..um I think I can figure it out but..I guess Zion can TRY to show me, cos it looks like he wants to really really bad!" she grins at him, then shrugs. "Go ahead and try Zion." she teases.

"okay okay!" he taken the bow and one of the arrows. Putting down his stick, Ben gave him a look which was haed to read. But he was smiling like he had an idea, but that bothered him least, he didnt remember how the guards aimed. He held the wooden part of the bow at him. Using an arrow to pull on the string towards him, not realising this was wrong way round.

Ben gave a concerned look "Zion tha-"

Zion didnt take time to hear rest. Letting go and the arrow flew complete of course hitting a wall and bounced back hitting him in tje stomach "ack!" he growled. "i sure that is right!

Hailey looks at Zion fumbling with the arrow and glances at Ben with a concerned look, "Zion, I think you sho-" she begins but the arrow flies into the wall, bounces back and hits Zion in the stomach. SHe watches him slump over, "never mind.." she mumbles trying not to laugh...
she puts a hand over her mouth and snorts, giggling a little.
"er..B-ben? Maybe you can help him out..hehe.." She turns away away and bursts into laughter.

Ben could just barely keep himself from laughing. Coughing to get rid of some of the laughs building up. and spoke as calmly as possible "Zion here let Hailey try" he said taking the boy from Zion who was holding his stomach. passing it to Hailey "Im sure you know how to hold it Hailey, lets just see if you know without help. just a tip il give you. Not the way Zion did it"

Zion looked up and glared "It could of worked!" he complained.

Ben hushed him "Go on Hailey" he smiled

"wellllll.." Hailey begins, "I thiiink you hold it like this..." she turns the bow around and adjusts her arms, "then pull your arms back.." she mumbles to herself, closing one eye and aiming at a spot on the wall, "then...FIRE!"
the arrow flops in front of her piteously.
"was I at least holding it right?" she laughs...and attempts to string up another arrow. 'maybe I can pin Zion's tail to the wall" she grins.

Ben facepalmed lightly, not annoyed but how much fun it was to see Kids attempt such things "Well yes but try Pulling ya hand more hand. and keep it steady. pull back as far you can, dont worry it wont break. i made sure its a good tight hold. the more ya pull back. the further it will fly." he smiled "Try again and see if you can hit that tree outside the window there "he pointed towards a window not far From hailey, outside it being his garden. a big tree was across from it. "If you can hit that then you should of gotten the hang of it.

Zion blinked "thats quite far though."

Ben smiled to zion "shes got plenty of arrows and its all practice." he turned back to hailey "just breath and relax.. then lift up your bow. Pull the arrow back as far ya can and still keeping steady. and once ya think you got it. Let go." he stood back to give room for her to aim towards the window to the tree"

Hailey concentrates, letting Ben's words sink into her head..."focus..focus..relax..breathe, SHOOT!"
The arrow blasts out the window and barely hits the lower trunk of the tree. Hailey's eyes widen and she turns to look back with a HUGE smile on her face.."DID YOU SEE THAT?!" she squeaks, "I think I'm a natural!" she says proudly.

Ben blinked "That was a amazing Shot! on your Second Try!"

Zion jumped to haileys side and looked outside "Woah!! that was Awesome Hailey!"

Ben nodded "Your a Natural alright! Try again! lets see if it was Skill, or Luck" he grinned slightly

Hailey wags her tail, eager to show off her new found skill.
Pulling out another arrow from the quiver and ajusting it to the bow, she stares at the tree, once again in deep concentration.
"Anyone wanna see me hit that apple on the tree?" she says with a confident look, her grip slips and the arrow once again shoots off. It hits the tree higher this time dispite the slip. "dang.." she mutters..."well I could try again. You dare me, Zion?"

Zion blinked "Yeah i dare you!"

Ben looked to hailey "Very nice shot! even you just slipped yet you hit the tree! you learnt Really fast Hailey, you got a Natural Skill as a Archer! Il be proud seeing you as a young woman with your Real Bow. youl do this Town good"

Zion looked over to him quickly "Hey what about me?! I can help to! i am good with a sword!"

Ben smiled and chuckled "A stick isn't it..?" he cut himself from chuckling and taken a breath "Ah Zion youl do Great as a Swordmaster! Hailey, you try hit that Apple again. Il be right back. Wait here with her Zion"

Zion nodded and turned to hailey "go on then! lets see if ya can hit it!"

Hailey chuckles to herself, and aims, licking her dry lips, "mmm,..pull back, focus...aim..." WHOOSH, the arrow buries itself into the edge of the apple and then the trunk. "YESSS!!!!!" Hailey does a victory dance, "you owe meeee!" she grins at Zion teasingly. "Heeeey ben! Look!" she calls and points to the tree.

Ben came back with his hands behind his back, adjusting his vision to look "..Oh my.. Hailey, You making a ol' blacksmith Proud! you keep a good grip on that bow! youl impress alot of people with your marksman skills! but remember to collect ya arrows. if your running low, come see me and il make you some more. Got it?"

Zion was huffing looking outside. mumbling "Lucky shot.."

"Got it! Will do!" she salutes and beams at his compliment, then looking over and seeing Zion's reaction. "hmm" her ears droop alittle then perk back up. "come on Zi, let's go get all my arrows back!" she smiles at him, cheerfully and takes his hand pointing to the garden.
