Shay did notice how he loked at her, but she didn't acknowledge it. As his gaze left her, she wished it would return. She also noticed the blood, and her stomach growled softly. She immediatly took a bite of the meat, savoring the salty tang of the blood.

Fen was just about to say something when something slammed against the door, Fen sighed and growled under his breath a bit before going over to the door, "Zach couldnt you have just stayed at your own place?" he growled in a friendly tone as the guy walked inside.

Zach blinked as he saw Shay, he gently grabbed her hand in his and kneeled infront of her, kissing the back of her hand. "Such a beautiful princess such as yourself desirves nothing less of loves true words, and i humblylive to serve you with the true-ness of my word of love." He slowly stood up and bowed infront of her before turning back to Fen, nodding, and then leaving.

Fen's entire body was tensed and as soon as the door closed behind Zach he turned to the counter, picked up his garbage and threw it hard into the trash can, using more force than needed, he kept his hair covering his face as he went upstairs.

Shay's cheeks had a tint of pink to them as she blushed, incredibly confused, and feeling slightly embarrassed. She didn't get the chance to say anything before her left. Her bafflement faded somewhat as she saw how Zach's words had upset Fen. A thril raced up her spine as she thought about what that could mean. As he walked heavily upstairs, she made the decision to follow him.

"Fen?" she called.

Fen sat on the end of the bed, his back to Shay with his face in his hands. The mintue Shay said his name his body tensed but then relaxed just a bit, but not fully. He slowly turned his head to the side so that he could see her out of the side of his vision. "....yes?"

"Are you alright?" shay asked, walking slowly closer. She cocked her head, blue eyes slightly worried, dominated by mainly confusion.

Fen sighed, he looked calm but his hands were balled up into fists in his lap. His fists were so tight that it made his knuckles white. "Im fine.....i guess." He forced himself not to growl and he had to look away from Shay for a secound before turning his head to the side again to see her out of the corner of his eye. "....Zach....really likes vampire females..." He couldnt help his voice from molding with a growl when he said the last two words. "....and he likes you....a lot." His hand had moved to grab the corner of the bed which let out a low groan and then a loud snap as it broke. He let his hair fall back infront of his face as he stared at the now broken corner of the bed.

"Fen, don't worry about Zach. I don't even know him well enough to strike up a decent coversation, much less feel the same," Shay said slowly. "There's no reason to break furniture over some romantic blunderhead who doesn't even know me."

Fen's hand gripped the edge of the bed harder, snapping it a bit more. ".....you dont know...what it does to me though." He muttered loud enough for her to hear. He sighed and ran his hands over his face as he growled thick words to himself and sighing again.

Shay was at a loss of what to say. So instead of replying, she sat down on the bed next to him, the wooden frame creaking beneath their combined weight.

Fen tensed up, wanting to move away from her, but at the same time wanting to move closer to her. He fought with his inner emotions and he decided on staying put. He swallowed and looked slightly away from Shay, not wanting to do anything stupid.

Shay noticed that he turned his head, smeeing as if he didn't want her near him. "You okay, Fen?" she asked.

Fen turned to look at Shay from underneath his shaggy brown hair, looked at her with his voilet eyes. He looked into her eyes for a couple of secounds without saying anything before he suddenly held her face in his hands gently and pressed his lips to hers, kissing her strongly. He let go and stood up, grabbing his gear and sliding his sword into space. "Im going to go recruit some wolves to take with us back to the castle so we can realse the others." He closed the door behind him as he walked out into the snow, leaving his foot prints behind him.

Shay sat stunned on the bed as Fen left. She still felt his lis pressed against her's in a phantom feeling, as if her nerves and mind were trying to please her. His callused hand had held her face in place as their lips touched....she closed her eyes, savoring the memory.

-four hours later-

Fen came back and flopped down onto the couch, laying face first. He half growled, half muttered long sentences to himself, of course not remembering what he did before he left and that Shay didnt respond to it. It finaly kicked in and he went dead silent as he lay face down on the furniture.

Shay walked downstairs. "Hey, Fen, about earlier..." she began. The thought had been in her mind every single moment while he was gone.
