Remy was still staring at Dust, his chest oozing blood. She wrenched her eyes away aas a human entered the room, although he didn't have a gun, which was good.

Mike came over to Dust and said "Its ok boy, I'll help you." He slowly picked Dust up and began to carry him out.

Dust whined and looked back at Remy.

Remy threw herself at the bars of the cage, trying to reach DUst. They couldn't take him away! She barked, clawing at the mesh hopelessly.

Mike saw this and walked over to Remy. He put Dusk down and unlocked the cage. "Come on girl." He said. Than he picked Dusk up again.

Dusk smiled at Remy.

Remy bounded out, glad to be free. SHe followed the human out, keeping an ewye on Dust. The human seemed friendly.

Mike took Dusk and Remy to his home. He patched up Dusk and said "Just rest for a few days."

Dusk was put down on a dog bed.

REmy warily curled up next to Dust. Even though the human seemed friendly, she didn't trust him. She licked Dust's nose, happy that they ahd escaped.

Dust nuzzled her and said "I love you."

Mike sat down and wacthed the dogs. "Now why can't I find someone like that?" He asked.

Remy smiled. She nuzzled him, trying not to look at where he had been shot. Jsut then, the door rang.

Mike went to the door and opened it some. "Yes?" He asked looking out.
