So I make some sketchy drawings and other people clean them up. Right?

But be careful about making things longer. It's hard not to get people lost or uninterested if you give too much details.

I agree with this.

I wish I could draw. I can a little...probably better than the average person but no where near as good as the people on here. In fact I was quite into drawing and visual arts when I was younger. I was always decent, but never really got great at it, so I gave it up during high school.

Yeah I didn't take art in college for the same reason. I have discovered I am my own worst critic.

Exactly. This is what I'm trying to avoid. Probably what I'll do is continue to try to shorten it, but not too much. I really just want to streamline it so it flows smoothly and naturally. (Which it pretty much does already; I'm just tweaking a few things here and there.)

PrtyWatrPrincess wrote:

Right. What we'll do is use celtx to convert the screenplay to a comic layout guide to give to the artists. You'll see what I mean soon... I'm almost done tweaking the script; it won't be long now. (So don't worry about doing any more illustrations until the script's finalized. I'd hate for you to do a picture for a scene that could possibly change.)

Me too. On everything I do! I'm balanced brained, so sometimes the logic and creative sides of my brain fight with each other. Like: "This way looks better!" "But this way is more efficient!" "Yes!" "No!" "Yes!" "No!" etc. It keeps things interesting at any rate. :P

@phylogeny:

Did you notice the main menu on Celtx where you can select "Script" -> "Adapt To" -> "Comic Book"? It actually works fairly well. This is what I'm talking about giving the artists. Btw, how's the edits coming? Just curious.

@everyone:

So far, I've received responses from four artists... One flat out "no", Two "Maybe, but probably not", and One "maybe, if I have time". Not quite the overwhelming support I was hoping for, but there's still about 18 or so artists that haven't replied yet, so maybe there's still hope.

I have a friend that surpluses a lot of computer parts and junk. He told me yesterday that he threw away 2 graphics tablets because he did not know what they were! Now that I have told him I am hoping he will find a decent one for me.

He threw away two tablets?! :shock: Those things are expensive! I certainly hope he can get one for you! Of course, they do take some getting used to... I played with one and I couldn't get used to looking at the screen while I drew on the tablet.

@everyone:

Some good news! ArChip and Wolfjedisamuel have agreed to help put with the art! I added them the the VS team today, so hopefully we'll be seeing them on here soon. Also, I started editing ep4 today, so the end is in sight now.

We should also start thinking about what story to do after this one is finished... Any ideas? Like I've said before, I like Lilly Ravenwood from the comics, and doing a story with her and the Skyraker would make it easy to include Don Karnage and Shere Khan in the story. I'll try to start a topic on it today or tomorrow so we can discuss it in more detail. Actually, I need to create several more topics in the Management section to make it more organized... I didn't do a very good job with the organization, and now it's starting to become a problem... Oh well, I'll fix it soon.

After the Skyraker story (or whatever story we decide to do) we should probably do a story featuring the Thembrians as the antagonists. The only thing I can think of at the moment is the "Broadcast Sally" idea I posted months ago... I'm certainly open to suggestions though. After that, I guess we could take a look at doing a story focusing on Wildcat and Clementine that Opus suggested a while back... And after that, I don't really know.

In other words, we need to make a list of episodes to do for this season. Thirteen episodes is a good number I think. (The 2nd Pilot is 4-5 episodes, so that leaves 8-9 to do.) In fact, I'll create a topic dedicated to determining VS episodes. The reason for making the list now is so that the writers will be able to be thinking about them and coming up with ideas before the writing starts. At least thats the plan.

I really like how this is going. I know I have been out of the project for far too long, but please dont count me out. I just need to take care of something here , a health matter. I'm basically visiting the forum to see whats going on and well, keep motivated, but I think I might take another 1 month until I pay the therapies and my mom finally takes her first one. until then I will still be reachable like always. I'm going to draw some Lilly today just to see how I'm doing, since its been a while since I draw anyhing TS related. Take care everyone!

ok. I just drew this one. she is a little younger, but I think I can get her of age according to the comic.

I know that, unfortunately. A lot of people only takes but never give. There are some people who seem to want to help, but when you truly ask for them to DO something, they're undecided or go lazy. I have currently that problem with the webrankers on the sites, or the mods in general. I'm still unsure about what is the solution, because I haven't found it myself, but you should probably not give up on the ones who said they may help : remind them regularly that we're still interested.

Also, showing some proofs that, YES, this is a serious project, a concrete one, should help getting people involved. The more we show, the more people will get interested.

Opus => Amazing drawing, as usual :)

Why don't you take the page that I was working on as concept art and post it in the Virtual Season page? You told me not to work on it anymore but it was pretty much sketched by then. Maybe "seeing" some concept art will spark some interest. Here it is in all it's unfinished glory:

Great pic there, PrtyWatrPrincess. the emotions are caught very well , specially on kit. Its hilarious. I hope you have something to clear this digitally and it would be ready for a promotional.

Today I drew a Lilly image it took me at least 10 minutes to finish. I think I have lost a little speed, I'm sorry its been months. By the time I finally get back on my feet and be ready for the TS vS That will have to be 6 minutes for a piece like this. if not imagine how long will it take to do one episode. I dont even want to think about it. :)

Anyway, please, I need some feedback on this character mainly because she was never used on the show and I have limited art from her to guide myself from. Does she seems like being from the original TS universe? Be honest

Wow! 10 minutes! I'm not telling you how long that whole page took me! Forever! OPUS what kind of graphic tablet would you recommend? Nothing super expensive. My husband wants me to get the Bamboo Witcom. Any suggestions?

Altought the wacom intuos is the best of the tablets it goes up to 299 in their smallest size. I would prefer to get the bambo one for only 99 us . it wont have the sensibility like the inyuous, but it does have a little which should be enough for a project like this. :)
