Why should we add it?: Road Rovers only had 13 episodes, though it has a strong cult-like fanbase. The idea of anthro animals is very popular online, but it's not usually portrayed often on TV (at least not in the style of RR). The series is fun, entertaining, well-written and original.

I think this one was suggested before by Dragon Tamer.. not sure what was the reason it was shot down.. from getting a source.. it was a pretty good show.. too

EDIT: Thus far, 19 people including myself have posted and agree with this idea ^.^

•Name: My Little Pony Source

•Film or Series: The original My Little Pony series, the movies, the second series, and heavily focusing on the current series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

•General Information: All of the series and movies produced are based around a line of toys made by Hasbro. Yes, it is another show that was made solely to boost sales of a toy - but many successful series have done this (Transformers, anyone?). In the early '80s with the G1 series that was simply named, My Little Pony, was everything you might expect of such a show in that time period unfortunately. Other than a few characters who were developed and a couple of occasionally good plots, it didn't have a whole lot going for it other than ponies which made young girls like me watch it. Despite this, the show and the toy line developed a sizable following that is still around today.

Several years later, the second generation of the line and TV series came out and My Little Pony Tales began to air. Fortunately, this show did take a few steps forward in plot and character development, making it easier for an audience other than young girls to start enjoying the show. It also featured several more regular male characters, whereas the first series was predominantly female.

The third series wasn't aired on a TV network, and was instead released as a sequence of direct-to-video episodes and movies. Unlike the second series, this one was quite unfortunately a backwards step, in that the characters themselves were undeveloped for the most part, save for a few minor personality quirks, and the stories were vague, uninteresting, and aimed solely at the young girl audience, ostracizing any possibility of a male following.

Finally, we come to what I believe to be the crown jewel of the line, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This latest in the line of MLP shows began airing on The Hub TV network in October 2010, and is still going strong to this day, with a new episode every Friday at 1:30 PM (EST). Thus far, the show has proven to be a wonderful improvement on the series as a whole, with excellent story lines in an episodic manner, characters that are actually believable, and animation that doesn't make you immediately turn away from the sheer girlishness. And what else could we expect from a series made by Lauren Faust, who is known for her work on Cat's Don't Dance, Quest For Camelot, The Iron Giant, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Powerpuff Girls, and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends? The show exploded after being on for only a few months, and it now has a particularly large following, with more fansites popping up every day. It's even attracted a good number of male viewers (notably, many from 4chan) both on and off the internet (I know a guy in my dorm who LOVES it - and he found it before I did, XD). Their are 4 more episodes left in the first season, with the last scheduled to air on May 6, 2011. The series has been renewed for next year by Hasbro, and episodes are in production (confirmed April 2011) and scheduled to be released in December 2011.

Most of the rest of the episodes/movies from any of the previous series can also be found on youtube.

•Why should we add it: Well, for one, it does have a huge following, and it's only going to get bigger as time goes on. For two, I think it's a marvelous example of how a series can have less than grand beginnings and rise to become even better, with no way to go but up. Not to mention, I've always had a childhood love of the original My Little Pony (don't ask why - I'm still not really sure) and I'm absolutely crazy about this new series. Before you doubt/hate, give it a try.

Sorry if already suggested

•Name: Shreck Source
•Film or Series: Film
•General Information: Shrek is a 2001 American animated comedy film directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, featuring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow. Loosely based on William Steig's 1990 fairy tale picture book Shrek!, it was produced by DreamWorks Animation and was the first film to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, a category introduced for the first time for the 2001 film year.

Shrek stars Mike Myers as a big, strong, solitude-loving, intimidating ogre named Shrek; Cameron Diaz as the beautiful, feisty, but very down-to-earth Princess Fiona; Eddie Murphy as the talkative Donkey; and John Lithgow as the villain Lord Farquaad.

Commercially successful on release in 2001, it helped establish DreamWorks as a prime competitor to Pixar in the field of feature film animation, particularly in computer animation. The film's success also made Dreamworks Animation create three sequels: Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After. There was also a Christmas special called Shrek the Halls and a Halloween special called Scared Shrekless. Furthermore, Shrek was made the mascot for the company's animation productions. It was critically acclaimed as an animated film worthy of adult interest, with many adult-oriented jokes and themes but a simple enough plot and humor to appeal to children. It made notable use of popular music; the soundtrack includes music by Smash Mouth, Eels, Joan Jett, The Proclaimers, Jason Wade, The Baha Men, and John Cale (covering Leonard Cohen).

During June 2008, the American Film Institute revealed its "Ten top Ten"; the best ten films in ten "classic" American film genres—after polling over 1,500 people from the creative community Shrek was acknowledged as the 8th best film in the animated genre, and the only non-Disney·Pixar film on the top ten.[2][3] It is also third on Bravo's 100 funniest films. Shrek was also ranked second in a Channel 4 poll of the "100 Greatest Family Films", losing out on the top spot to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.[4]

Sweet! So that's five solid yes's and a sixth from Brit. And I know of at least 3-5 other people on AS who love the show but haven't posted here as of yet.
