I have another one that I wrote. Don't worry; I wrote this one in elementary school, in 5th grade I think. It's a funny poem, sort of, and my teacher found it funny.

I thought it was a fine day,
To go to the barber,
But instead some dummy grabbed me,
And put me in the sharpener.
And when I was nice and pointy,
They took me to their desk,
And I was going in circles,
Until I felt sick.
Then I was going in loops,
Then twists and turns and more loops,
When the person made a mistake,
OOPS!
They flipped me over and they banged me on my head,
(Gosh I wish I stayed in bed.)
Then finally it was time to go,
Pencils have feelings too, ya know!

Now, three years later, I find it quite stupid.

Appolagy accepted. (I can't spell..."appolagy"!)

Kari-Haha, funny actually, the last lines are really good!

(I made this poem up yesterday, and it's a bit "wonky", wierd...)

I wonder what goes on up there...
Up there, up there, up there there there!
Oh where the clouds they come to share,
And talk of the strangest things!

I know, so many cloud poems! It's just it's been so cloudy this weekend, I have clouds on the brain!

ok....i think i accidenlty found a cure....a cure for my mental block for writing poems...it happened when i was despretly tring to write a poem last night...and i did! it may not be too good, but i fianly made my first poem (unfortunaly i can't post it...it's alittle personal  ...but i do have another poem, that i just made in the past 20 minutes...ok *prepares to get bombarded with harsh critism*

this is my second poem i ever made... ....this has no meaning...it was just on my mind  ...ok here it is

"The wind"
"The sound of the wind….the story it tells
It has no voice….but still it yells
The guidance it gives….yet has no eyes
The path the wind chooses...no one bothers to ask why
The wind can push…the wind can blow
Although it is not always the way you wish to go

The clouds break through…The ship caption begins to yell
“hark, look my men!...a storm begins to swell”
The day turns to night….the joy turns to fright,…
But fear not; look bright…for something is here to make it right.
It is a new wind…come to set its brother right.
It calms the air….and it vanquishes the night.

The wind may destroy, the wind may blow…
But in it’s place, fear not…peace will soon grow."~balto.

....so...yea, i know im not good a stanza and seperating the line things.....but this is my second poem i ever made......so..what do you think....

The pain-filled sorrows,
Caressing the guilt of your sensitive heart
The gentle whispers,
Repeating cruel words inside your head
You dare not listen

My gloomy eyes,
With tears streaming down my face
The shining blade,
The blade of my anger pierces your spirit
Pale Sorrows

Your broken spirit,
Filled with nothing but pale sorrows
Searching,
It's hard for you to find them
Do they even exist?

Though the pale sorrows cease to exist
They remind you of the apology you have missed
When will you say sorry?

that is like what i write BS..haha cpt i usually go more in depth

Well, though you didn't mean to, Sita, in a way what you said came out a little rude. Like you were saying that she didn't do something enough...or something...I dunno.... Don't worry.. I dunno what I'm saying. ^^ But I think it's a beautifully written poem, a lil' sad, but hey! ^^

___________

Confusion

My thoughts, are stirring
Like a storm, they grow
And I am so dam confused now,
So I'd thought I'd just let you know

But for you I'd run to the end of the earth,
For you I'd make my life completely unfair,
For you I'd do 'most anything,
And that is just how much I care

But at times my head's all confusion
And at times I am not sure,
For this I wish that I could change
And I wish there was a cure.

Sometimes I think I'm wrong,
That how could I actually be inlove?
And say that we're two feathers of bird,
Both of us, on one dove.

How can I be so sure?
That my heart bleeds for you?
When I barely know myself yet,
Oh what's a girl to do?

I watch you sometimes with admiration,
To your words I take a heed,
But how do I know for sure,
That love is what my heart needs?

I just thought that I'd let you know...
That I'm confused everday...
But that doesn't mean I don't love you,
In a lot of loving ways!

Yeah...^^ Just a poem I made up. It's not like my real feelings, I just felt like writing another one of these poems.

My teacher took a poll today on all the student on why some of them hated poetry so much, and here's what she came up with:

1.) It forces the reader the think "outside the box"
2.) The content matter is almost always...cheesy.
3.) It's confusing to read and understand
4.) Some students think that poetry HAS TO rhyme
5.) The construction of a poem is too hard

Those were the top 5 reasons...
