A flicker of something unknown flashed in Cerebus's eyes, but he remained thoughtfull. On an off-beat, he mused, "It must be nice to have so man close to you," He glanced around, up to the tree tops. The lighht was streaming through the leaves, and small particles dancedin the light. It was a peacefull kind of beauty.

Sainiu yawned softly, looking around at the path they where on. It was nice here. "You hae your pack though, arent you close with them?" she said softly, speeding up a bit again.

Cerebus smirked slightly. "You'd think. I was on my own for years before, by chance, I found Kitling. He wasn't the...'pack' type. A loner, through and through." Cerebus smiled fondly for a moment, thinking of his friend. "He didn't like me at all when we first met. I wasn't the type to give up a good oportunity though. I pestered him for years before he allowed me to officially join him." He stared ahead for a while, the only sound the wind rustling the leaves around them. "Viola came much later...she's only been with us for 50, 60 years. We aren't so close...and unlike with Kitling, I doubt we ever will be." He shook his head. "More joined...Katmai next; we found her as a baby. Kit was real fond of her. An odd creature, Kat is...then your brother, rescued by Katmai and recruited." He sighed, flicking his tail dismisivly. "Viola pulled in Demon and I--" He stopped short, grimacing, a lonesome look in his eyes, "well. I--I brought a few others in, but they," he cleared his throat, "they...left." Silence hanging in the air, he looked over his shoulder to avoid any awkward moments.

Sainiu nodded as he talked. She looked back to him once he finished "The others? why would they leave?" She started to march, bringing each of her legs up overly high.

Cerebus watched as she cheerily marched along. He felt a sudden touch of fondness towards the brown saber mix, much as if she were his own flesh and blood. He bit his lip tentitivly. "Their time was up living with us. They got, uh," he nodded his head, as if the thought were nothing, "...bored..." He was speaking for both Shanzi and his first love, a dog named Magenta. It took all his effort to keep a reasonably aloof face as he answered Sainiu's querry.

Sainiu nodded widley, very child like. She stoped suddenly with her front paw still raised from her march "Are we still going the right way? I don't know my way around here.." she said softly, keeping her pose.
