Rick pulled her close and kissed her with all his love behind it. But he knew it would have to be short...He shoved her away after a moment and met Nightmere in a hlfway leap of attack. He pinned Nightmere down, anger blazing in his eyes. "If you want Shay you'll have to go through me"! He roared and raised his claws to the rival.

"Quick, come with us while they fight". Desper held out his hand to Shay.

Nightmere knocked Rick off and lept for his throat. "Sorry, brother but your too much of a risk to keep alive"!

Ricky howled as fangs sank into his neck. "Shay I love you, remeber that"! He fought with all his might to get Nightmere off.

"No! They''ll tear you apart"! Desper caught her and pulled her back.

"Desper is right. The best thing you can do to help the boy is stay out of the way. If you get hurt he'll never fogive himself, is that what you want"? Gabriel blocked her from escaping.

Nightmere ripped and tore hard.

But just then Lica pulled Nightmere off Rick. "Let them be"!

"Why? You want him to turn us in"?

"No, he won't, please stop".

Nightmere watched as Ricky fell over from loss of blood. "Sigh, fine but if he dose turn, it's your tail". He grabbed Lica and vanished into the woods.

Rick lay there bleeding and hurting. I have to get up, I have to protect Shay. He tried his best to get up but could not so blacked out.

Gabriel stood with Desper at the edge of the cave. He cocked his head to one side and eyed the two with consern and question. He slowly made his way over to them, bending down he touched his index and middle finger to Rick's throught. Then all at once he burst out laughing. "Girl, stop worrying"! He fell over and clutched his sides, they were aching from laughing so hard. "He's goning to be fine, there's a tooth lodged in his jugular"! He finaly calmed down to a chuckle and sat up. "If we can get him back to Desper's place I can easily remove the tooth and patch up his wounds". Yes, Ricky was safe by a hair, the tooth blocked all the vital blood from coming out. He was only unconsious from battle. "Well will you let us help the boy"?

"If there's one thing I have learned in my entire life, girl, it's never mess with a women in love". Gabriel lifted Rick by the shoulders. "Desper! Get over here and help"!

Desper rushed over and took Rick's legs. "When he wakes up someone needs to tell him to lay of the steak"!

Gabriel snickered and they both caried Ricky back to the castle.
"Now, Desper you go get me some plyers, cloth, and wolf's bane".
With the items in hand Gabriel yanked out the tooth and disposed of it.

But oh boy did Rick realy feel that, he jumped up howling and yelping!

"Girl come hold your boyfriend before he drowns in this godforsaken blood of his"!

Rick wipered but held still.

"Lord boy! watch your self, I hate to think what your like at the doctors". Gabriel cleaned Rick's neck ,rubbed the wolf's bane on and, then rapped the cloth around his wound. "There! Sheesh! ... Now I can't return you to normal but I can make you a vampire if you want to be together".

"You can do that"?

"Ofcorse, all you have to do is let Shay bite you".

Rick blinked..."All along it was that f***ing simple"?

"Yep".

Rick smacked his hand to his face, then looked to Shay.

"Sigh, ok Shay....I love you". He wrapped his arms around her.

"Anytime". Gabriel walked to Desper. "Take care Desp, I'll see you at the ceramony".

"Ceramony"?

"Well did you want them to get merried without one"?

"No, but what about their parents"?

"If it's leagle in vampire law, absolutly! Why do you think I saved this"? Rick reached down and pulled out a little black box, opening it he presented a 14 carrot heart dimond ring to her and inscribed on the solid gold ban was * To Shay, my one and only love*

"Yes it's leagle.." Desper gave Rick a quick answer before again looking to Gabriel for an answer.

"Intresting piont,....hmm mabey I'll swing by and tell them the good news".

Rick smiled and slowly got off the bed and on his knees with a grunt of pain from the still exsiting sores. "Shay, will you do me the honor of merring me"?

"You don't think that will be a problem"?

"Not the way I'll preswade them". he laughed sortly evily.
