Balto nodded. "I just wish I could remember her...but that accdent...made me forget a lot of things." he said, refering to Aniu and his two brother's deaths solemly.

Balto nodded. He tried to imagine his brothers but nothing came but a memory of them laying dead on the ground. A tear trickled from his eye. "They were too young to die...they never got the chance to live...they never got to experence life and all the joys it can have...all because some psycho with a gun decided to take it from them." he said, a deep sorrow in his voice. "The only memories I have of those two...are their deaths...please tell me something from before the accdent about them...so I won't just have painful memories of them." he said, more tears in his eyes. He wanted to point his snout up and let out a howl of grief, grief for his poor brothers that never got the chance to live.
Ana pinned her ears at her father's words but tried to stay focused on her brother, that was privite between Balto and Scout. "That's horrible." she said. "My energatic bro stuck in bed? Its unimagineable!"

"Well, there was one time," Scout said. "You mother never let you four out of the den without her, but somehow all of you got out. It was a good thing that I came to visit that day and spotted you four." Scout chuckled at the memory. "And when Aniu scolded, all that you guys could do was laugh."
"Yeah, pretty unbelievable, huh?" Kodi said, unsettled by his father. But he cracked a smile at Scout's story.

Balto smiled, the long buried memory surging back. He smiled. Suddenly, he remembered something else, something that filled him with hope. "I just remembered another memory, when Nava took me from the accdent...my sister was with me!" he said. "That's proof! Aurora has to be alive!" he said, hope rising in his voice.
Ana nodded. "Didn't papa break his leg when Miki, Saba, Rose, and momma had to save you all before me and Maria were born?"
