Not to post on an ancient topic or anything but I just bought the collectors Edition DVD and saw the movie for the first time, it was awesome. I had the book read to me in like second grade and I saw a crappy 80's attempt for the movie, I can't even begin to say how much better this one is! Great addition to my DVD collection!

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!!!!

I am getting SO sick of people who refuse to watch the new movie just because they saw the old version and hated it. They just won't listen to me when I tell them that this one is a hecka lot better. You really need to talk to them lol

I watched 15 mintues and hated it.... -_- For one Lucy is ugly in that version, and it's stupid how just opening the wardrobe and what do you know? Its an icy wilderness. Lucy didn't even go inside it was like open and TA-DA Narnia!!!!!!! >_> BTW Alsan looks so scary in that one. Like some demented lion puppet. New one is lightyears better shooting missiles at the old one and blowing it out of the sky.

Although I did read the the books first and then watched the new movie. And some people said the old ones were better. And i tried it and they sucked XD.

Yes.. the old ones were terrible. Maugrim was like a big hairy spazzeh kind of werewolf creature.

I love the new Narnia. It's my favourite film, well, not forgetting Balto of course. I got the 2-Disc special edition DVD.

Even though I'm religious, I saw this one and LOVED it! It is on my top three favs ( for movies, of course. The other two are Balto and Lilo and Stitch, in that order)

I'm so glad that it was nothing like the BBC virsion. Yech! I liked the special effects in the new one. (Yay, no costumes or puppets like the last one!) cool.gif I only wishede that there weren't so many mythical creatures in it, but what can I say?

I didn't like it too much and one of the ressions is not enough action it's like a really bad version of The Lord Of The Rings but still I watched it.

And Nick your right it is and I really hate christian movies.

Well, I did know that it's supposed to be a christian film, but the thing that bothered me is the mythical creatures. I mean, if C.S. Lewis was as religious as he said he was, he would have stayed away from that sort of thing.

Are there anyone read the book carefully,in my opinion,I think the movie is better than the book,or unless that is the translation trouble.
