Luke cocked his head. "She said? The mean kitty can talk?" he asked, snugling close to his momma, nuzzling her lovingly, so happy she was alright. "If the mean kitty likes wolf howls, why does she want to kill the wolves?"

Nickel turned to Luke. "Yeah, she talks. She said that her anme is Saber and she wants to live here because of all the prey but if she shares with the pack, she won't have enough. So she eats wolves, hunts us down. She'lll try to grab another wolf soon so that nce the pack die, she'll still have howls. She says she might spare the pups and hte wolf she takes will raise them...."
Spirit shook his head. "This is one nasty cat." He turned to Sadie and shrugged at her comment, unsure of what to say to that.

Luke nodded. "I don't like her." he said, shaking with fear, it was obvious he was terrified still from everything that happened. "I don't want to be raised by anyone but momma." he said. "And I like having everyone else around." he said, still very frightened.

Nickel frowned. Had she made things worse by saying all this infront of Luke? "Everythign will be okay," she said fiercly.

"I won't let anything happen to you," Sadie said, nuzzling Luke again.
"There had to be some way of beating her," Jackson said, half to himself. "We have to come up with a plan to drive her out of here. Or make her unable to hunt." He didn't want to say 'Or kill her' in front of Luke.

Luke calmed down and relaxed as his mother nuzzled him. He looked at Jackson. "What if we smoked her out? Light a fire in the forest around her cave, the smoke would drive her out." he said. "Then maybe we could use the fire to chase her out." he said. "And all we'd need to do to stop the fire from spreding where we don't want is shoak the trees and stuff with water so it won't burn." he said, occasionally Luke had sudden bursts of suprising intellagence.

Saddie looked at the rest of the dogs. "Think that'll work?" she asked them.
"I think we should try a more direct approach first," Jackson said. "We could just get the some of the pack chase out of the cave, and half will attack her at the bottem of tha hill. She can't fight us all off, can she?"

"But uncle Jackson, what about the wolves who go into the cave to chase her out? What if she kills them?" asked Luke. "Plus from what I heard, her cave is too hard for a wolf to get to unless she takes them there." he said, being correct.

Nickel looked at Jackson. "I have one. But it'll be risky. We should probably stick to Luke's but if it doesn't work... my plan is that a wolf howls to attract her then wolves who are hiding near by drive her out. I'll be the bait if you want to do it."

"That would definately work," Sadie said, thinking about both ideas. "And it's not as complicated as Luke's. Sorry, dear, but we need something simple and that just might be it.
