Steele growled back. His eyes became easer when he heard her name called. "So, I'm Steele. Would... you ya know, know much about Darcia, Kiba and Cheza? I have a few questions to ask..." he said.

"Where's my father?!" Madison snapped again. This time, he nearly bit the malamute's nose off.

"and YOU!" she snapped at the cat-like wolf. "Are you on this guy's side?!" Then she walked past the old wolf saying: "Come on. Let's go."

"Tch, Yo, NIJU! I know where Aleu AND Balto are," Steele said. He ran up and blocked Madison's path. "I know all of the dogs in town. Who are you looking for? And listen, chickadee, this ain't a courtroom. Whatever you say can't be used against you. Your pretty, and on my good side. You wanna stay there. So, can you tell me about your pack. See, I met this guy, Darcia, and he, uh, said he liked you, Tume, Toboue, Hige and Blue, but had a problem with Cheza and Kiba. Who are these people, and from where you stand, what's going on? He seeks revenge, but I'm still not getting it," he said, his eyes and body posture were sending the message "ok, ok, i respect you" to the pink dog. "And you should tell me because, I don't want war in my town. I can help you stop fighting and help you do whatever needs to be done. I can be on your side if you let me," Steele said quickly.

"I can see that your on Darcia's side. I don't trust you, Steele. And cat-boy.... I'll deal with you later." She continued walking on, taking one last look at her friends laying motionless. Don't worry, my friends, I'll stop Darcia and get us home. But I'm going to need help first....

Madison walked on, her white paws crunching the snow. "So, who are you actually?" she asked the old wolf following behind her.
