We have a possible bass player in lingo right now for Lost Eternity.. He used to be in a band I posted about a few weeks ago called Tantric and he really likes our style of music and is a HUGE Dream Theater fan. I'll let you all know how the audition went later. untill then we're gonna keep taking applications for the postion.

Ok I heard about that 2012 thing too! What do you guys think aobut it? (Off topic but okay, haha.)

Have you ever thought that the Mayan's just stopped... well because they just decided enough was enough? It is impossible for them to write forever you know. There a so many reasons why they could have stopped:
Wiped out
Gave up
Got bored
Ran out of space
Found something more interesting to do
Decided enough was bloody enough. "Who knows? By the time that our calendar gets to this year, they might have developed something better in the future then our system?"

I bet if they decided to stop writing the calendar a few decades earlier there would have been kids in the 70's going "Holy crap! The mayan calendar ends here so that must obviously mean the end of the world." And not the fact that they had to stop some time or other, they can't write a calendar forever.

And also probably the most important part is, that if thy had done this calendar all the way through then why, when they get to the bloody end of the world would they not write it down?

Mayan1: "Hey mate, you think we should write the apocalypse in?"
Mayan2:"Naaaah"
Mayan1:"Well why the hell not? We put all this time and effort into making this stupid calendar and we're not gunna mark down the most important event in the world? The very event that will cause it's destruction"
Mayan2:"Let them figure it out themselves"

Well bravo you figured it out. The Mayan calendar ends here so logically it means the end of the world...

Ok rant over, I've never been able (or lucky) enough to meet one of those people who keep believing the end of the world is just around the corner and I just had to say something as I find these kind of people some of the most idiotic people on the earth.
BTW this isn't directed at you Wolf Bassist as you said it's a "supposed" thing to happen but I just had to say it in case there are any "believers" on this forum.

Squival-Haha, nice rant, but I seriously could care less about the whole 2012 thing. People do something like this every so years iits like "OH MY GOD!!! According to so-and-so the worlds going to end on [date]!!!" haha. And besides even if they were right at least I'd know the day when I'd die instead of finding out the hard way.

celestial-Cool, Johnny Cash and Coldplay are rad, haha.

I'm sort of in a band, I have a 2nd vocalist and a guitarist. Now all we need is a 2nd guitarist , bassist, drummer, and a turntable guy. And the bands working name is "Artificial Enigma."
