"We're all right." Kiona replied to Ayashi. "But Takoda's leg is hurt. When I found him, a female wolf was attacking him, but I took care of her." She spoke rather angrily for that last bit. If that wolf was smart then she'd know not to come back. Knowing that her son was assaulted by some trespasser only made Olathe worry more, but Kiona wasn't injured at all so that was a good sign that the strange she-wolf was gone for good.

Just then Achak approached the group, obviously he'd heard what was said.

Hearing the news as he approached, Achak certainly looked a mixture of emotions. But knowing that an intruding wolf had not only attacked and harmed his brother definitely made him angry Making his way through, his bright blue eyes scanned over the two, seeing Kiona was atleast alright. Takoda looked a bit more than worse for wear, but thankfully it was only his paw, which his brother told him was getting better now. A good rest and a bath would help, as well as some food. But for the alpha, his protective nature was nagging at him to go track down that good for nothing wolf that had dared to, one, enter his territory, and two, attack not only a pack mate, but his brother.

As Olathe fussed some more over Takoda, nudging him towards the caves, Aya on his other side, Kanook stepped up to his nephew, almost like he was able to read the younger's mind. His dark blue eyes met Achak's, and he smiled gently. "Stay here, by now that intruder is probably long gone. We need you here anyway..." The silver streaked alpha looked like he had made up his mind, when he let out a deep sigh, his eyes softening and he nodded. The older beta wolf then motioned for him to come join the rest of the pack in the caves, where he found Kiona again, calling her over.

"I heard from my mother you were the one who volunteered to go find Takoda...?" He waited for her reply before continuing. "You didn't have to, but thank you. Who knows what might have happened otherwise." Achak didn't want to think about that. "But I'm sure you're tired. You should go rest, we'll bring back some of the kill for you two."

Kiona watched him as he spoke, unblinking. Wow, he was thanking her.. It was quite a confidence boost for the hybrid, that he out of everyone else would be thanking her. She suppressed a smile, but nodded in a welcoming way. True, she was a bit tired and dirty, but she'd been in worse energy-draining situations, so one would guess she wasn't /too/ thrilled about staying behind while the others hunted. Nonetheless, she would stay behind for his sake.

Just then, the weather started to improve and Achak decided to head out. Once turned away from him Kiona smiled to herself. Ayashi asked her what she was grinning about and Kiona quickly replied, "Nothing."

Olathe stayed behind to help clean Takoda in the cave, while the rest of the pack left, and Kiona cleaned herself. Tho she was still a bit dirty, she felt very pleased with herself. (Draco I can't think of how to word this ending xD)

Bumped for a Draco reminder
