Not bad for a sequel: 9/10

I have mixed feelings about this one, I really want to see it because I found the original too short which left me feeling a little off-balance with the movie being wrapped up so quickly. However, I just wonder if it is going to be a shocking sequel...Guess I'll find out tomorrow...

Well, I saw it today. I won't expand much on the film, it's very different from the original. The animation and graphics are pretty awesome for a DTV sequel (even though far from the original style), very beautiful. The story is the bad point : it's pretty flat, nothing original to it, no action. Also the songs seem forgettable.
But I've noticed a few common points with Balto. Am I the only one who noticed the likeliness between Cash and Balto? They have the same markings. Did you notice the red bandanna, too? Globally I thought that the characters looked similar.
And even more than this : the french voice for Cash is also the french voice for Balto...

I love this movie, for pretty much one reason--Dixie. I love her. Obviously. xD "Good Doggie, No Bone" is SUCH an awesome song:

Dix fits in with all my other favorite cartoon dogs, and she is clearly part of the core trio completed by Rita (Oliver & Company) and Sasha (All Dogs go to Heaven 2.)

Cash...I've seen him once before compared to Balto. He reminded me more, immediately, of Dodger from Oliver & Co. HE had a red bandanna too. :D And on the DVD cover...he and Dixie just clearly harken back to Dodger and Rita. Especially Rita.
Cash's got qualities, physically and personality-wise, of various other Disney/animated dogs too, including Balto. Interesting that they even had the same French voice actor.
Yep, I have no doubt that TFATH2 was influenced all over the place by other animated dog films.

I saw Fox and the Hound 2 a few months ago. It wasn't that bad. Some of the songs were good, and Dixie was pretty cool! But I agree with some of you, not EVERY movie should have a sequel. Sometimes they do it just for the money. It stinks.

I hope that they make a sequel for what they do after the events of FATH 1.
