The only reason you can't find it is because Balto is no longer sold in the stores. Not to mention all the Balto films have been discontinued.

I believe I meant I was talking about the DVD, not the widescreen. Why I said that, I don't know. :/ The DVD can be found sometimes in the stores, but rarely.

It must have been an international version for some odd reason. As far as I'm aware the region 1 DVD is only a 4:3 ratio. The other regions are 16:9.

The Region 1 DVD (the one released in Canada and the United States) was full-screen; the other Region DVDs were wide-screen. I happen to have a Region 2 DVD (one from Europe), and the aspect ratio is 16:9, the typical Widescreen. The full-screen are 4:3 (the typical full-screen).

Yes, I actually have 4 Balto DVDs: two in Region 1 (my country), one from Europe, and one from Japan. The Europe and Japanese DVDs require special programming for your computer to play, but they do offer a wider picture.

Wow! that's cool but also sucks, because i can't watch it in wide screen and understand it at the same time! I'd have to remember every line they say...

No, the language is English in both. Sorry, should have clarified that earlier.

But the European DVD also has languages in French and Spanish, with subtitles in those, English, and Russian. The Japanese DVD has languages in English and Japanese, with subtitles in each, as well as Chinese.
