"Well you chose Iggy's brother over me, so, yeah, kinda." Alfred replied through clenched teeth. "It hurt. A lot." Arthur frowned, and sat awkwardly at the table, poking his food as he pretended not to listen.

Kat winced at his tone and looked at her plate of food sheepishly. She knew that she had hurt him, but she never wanted to confront her wrong doings.
"He... Kind of...Chose for me... You have to understand that I couldn't say no to him... Mostly because whenever I did he'd hit me..." Kat confessed. The lingering shadow of her black eye throbbing.

Arthur looked at her, his face practically shadowing over.
"He hit you?" Alfred asked, before his friend could. Alfred looked up, a heroic glimps in his eyes.

Kat nodded slowly "He also smashe a lit cigarett into my palm for no reason..." she added
sadly.

"Hah." Arthur chuckled, "He does it to someone else now!" Before covering his mouth. "Sorry, continue." Alfred glared, and took Arthur's palm, holding it out for Kat to see.
"Iggy said it's Ian's way of showing ownership. Like, he's marked Arthur almost..how many times?"
"Eighteen and counting.."
"Yeah! He has a bunch on his hands and neck, and one right behind his ear."

Kat looked pathetically down at her palm, she'd always carry that scar. The shadowy scar that held an even more shaowed past.
"I guess he owns me... I don't want to belong to anyone..." She clenched her fist with the burn on it and slammed her fist on the table "D*mmit! I'm not a f*cking dog!" She spat, outraged.

All of a sudden, Ian was behind Kat with a knife pressed against her throat, holding her in a deathly headlock.
"One move from any of you and I'll kill her." He snarled, not noticing Alfred slide his butter knife under the table. Arthur stood abruptly, obviously knowing Ian wouldn't kill Kat.
"Ian. You're drunk, put her down." He ordered sternly, glancing at his brother's blood-stricken eyes.

Kat's breathing faltered and she went ridged as the cold knife came down against her throat. She thought about screaming, but couldn't utter a sound. He'd heard everthing that she'd said. Every word. Kat gulped and feebly tried to pry Ian's hands away, only to fail. She whimpered slightly and felt herself tremble. Ian would never kill her, would he? No. Maybe. The sad part was she couldn't tell. He was drunk as well, so that only hightened Kat's chances of dying tonight.
"Let me go..." She said weakly, her voice hardly audible.

"Ian.." Arthur said again, coming closer to his brother.
"I SAID STAY BACK!" Ian snarled,swiping the knife elegantly across Arthur's face, who yelped out in pain. Seeing the chance, Alfred lept forward, sinking the knife into Ian's hand and grabbing Kat.

Kat yelped when Ian slashed Arthur across the face and yelped even louder when she saw Alfred come at her with a knife. But he was going after Ian. She felt herself being tugged somewhere away from Ian and she faltered.
"No!" She whimpered, "He'll kill you!" Kat screached.

Arthur was up almost as soon as he was knocked to the ground, throwing a punch at Ian's face. Ian staggered backwards, spitting out curses at Alfred as he fell over unconcious. Arthur glared down at his brother, and grabbed the collar of his shirt, dragging him to the door to the basement, unlatching it and shoving him shoving him downstairs.

Kat felt herself clinging to Alfred. The hero. For so long she'd been completely controlled by the villian, Ian, and it felt good to be holding onto someone pure. Kat felt hot tears flood down her face. She whimpered, the memory of the cold knife pressing into her throat so fresh that is hurt her.
"He almost...Killed me..." She choked.

Arthur held his own hand firmly to his face as he staggered over to the sink to try and wash off the stinging blood.
"Mhm." Alfred said, clearly worried for Arthur. "Look, i dont think..i think.I dont know what i think Kat, but for now, we're just friends, kay?" He said, flashing his bright grin.

Kat detached herself from Alfred and nodded, wipping away the tears quickly. She felt herself still shaking.
"Okay" She said in a hushed voice.

Riley watched everything go down and went to attend Arthur.

Alfred hugged her reassuringly, and then went to Arthur, who's face was streaming with blood and tears.
