Lady and the tramp has been said to be the most adult animated Disney movie. Truthfully, the ONLY thing that keeps me from complaining about the existance of LATT2 is Scamp and Angel, and that one love song in there. Otherwise, I disapprove of it because

1. Walt Disney didn't want his company to make sequels, and yet they did.

2. It's more targeted to children than adults: predictable plot, more comical things, etc.

The more comical; the better. That's what made the first film so boring; it wasn't funny enough!!!

I don't really like Scamp. A bit on the obnoxious side.

Oh, I love "He's A Tramp"! A week ago, my cousins and I were talking about handsome my cat, Jessie, is and how he must have over 70 mates! (He's an outdoor cat, cause he likes to hunt) And then all of the sudden I broke into song singing "He's A Tramp"

I think it's the best song from the first movie ^^ I like all somgs in the second XD (Now I like and dislike both movies equally for different reasons)

Agreed. It's a classic film and it had a bit of everything so that the whole family could enjoy it: drama, love and romance, traditional slice of real life, action and suspense, comedy, and music.

Plus, it was made in 1955. Also called "Disney's Happiest Film," and after all this time, it still remains rather true, I think.

In LATT2 I found Scamp quite annoying in some cases, which is probably why I didn't like the second one as well as the first and to me Lady was annoying too than she was in the orignal.

Well, Scamp had a right to be annoying: he's a mini-version of his father, but he's also the different one of his litter, trying to find where his real home is. (Too bad it takes him the entire film to realize that there is no place like home.)

Also, I understand how Lady was a bit annoying in the sequel: she's a mother now, and she only wants what's best for her children. In the original film, she was young (less than a year old when she had Scamp and the others), naive, and raised in the world of the high-class society, not understanding how the world outside of her house gate was so much different than her own. Now that she has a part of the outside world with her (in the form of Mister Tramp), she's happy where she is and she only wants her children to realize the safety of home and family.

Quote:
That's kinda what I hate about some movies: annoying characters.

Well, duh. And most annoying characters are put in low-budget DTV sequels. (And most of them are young, childish and unknown about the big old world that they live on.)

The original is far better than the second although the second one is not too bad of a sequal

the 2nd had all that too. Action, excitememnt, adventure, love and romance, drama, hilarious comedy,(which the first didn't have) suspence, rivalry and CUTENESS!!!

And Scamp is a little annoying, but he was extremely cute!!!

And Lady was incredibly annoying in both films. Sure she's sweet but she's so naieve, big-headed and a know-it all.

Also; the Animators are far less lazy in the second; with gorgoes computer-animated cars and houses, sparkling animation with less noticeable bloopers and the noise of the dogs feet and the splashing noice when they shake their fur. The animation in the first is dull, bloopers are very noticeable and not to mention the dull, crappy songs and stupid thick characters

Lady and the Tramp's animation was top-notch in the 50's. They didn't have computers in the 50's. And the songs in Lady and the Tramp were fashionable in the 50's. And the characters rocked. It's also much more mature than the second (considering what happened on the hill after Bella Notte during the night...hint hint!).

EDIT: And the anatomy was very accurate in the first movie. It was also nice how the music replaced sound affects.

EDIT AGAIN: I saw bloopers in the VHS, but not in the DVD. The DVD was so much better, I gave the VHS back from wence I got it!

You know, I LOVE how Lady's ears fold sometimes. Makes her look elegant.

First you said you loved Lady, and now she's a big headed know it all?
o-o; Well, that's what you think. =)

But who couldn't love such a cute little thing like Lady? ^-^ I always thought of Lady and the tramp first more for adults than part 2.
Their animators were not lazy. Trust me. In both of the movies  ..

Here's a thing I made of Angel and Scamp. It's a first.. I guess. Anyone can use it if they want, but I don't see why they would want too. It's awful. (If you use it, please give me credit.):

For those who are angel and scamp fans, then they may use it but must give me credit. Don't know who would want too, however. It's ugly. xP

Happy doggie family.
