The lioness looked at Sula, her claw shot out and she began stroking the cub's head.
'They are not going to be returned to their parents,' said the female, speaking grimly.'Emperor Obbler would not approve of rebel cubs in his pride.'

The lioness cackled.

Meanwhile, Jafiya was pushing his way through the twisted shrubs. At last he spotted a cave.
'And about time too,' he muttered.' The wind is picking up.'

Rosie nodded "indeed sir." She sighed her blue pale eyes looking to the land. She just hoped this land would be their new home, instead of that vile of smelling place." She sighed looking to him hopefully.

Kelly sighed "I know miss."

Jafiya turned to Kelly.'Now, I want you to stay here. I am going back to tell the others. If something comes...hide. Okay?'

The lioness picked up Sula and walked into a small cave-room.
'This Sprite needs milking,' she said.

After a few seconds she popped her head out of the cave-room.' And it doesn't half bite!'
Then she disappeared back into the cave, to milk the little cub.

Jot toddled up to Staniel and bit his adoptive father's tail.

Staniel cringed.
'Er - yes, that smelly place,' he said to Francine. 'Well, I was over there and I detected the scent of strangers.'

Romy smiled. 'Poor Sula,' she chuckled. 'But the old lady's not so bad. My father only lets her see to the cubs because he knows she's alright, deep down. She helped raise me, and I turned out OK, - didn't I?' Romy grinned at her friends.

Well that is true." Kelly smiled high pawing her. Lindsay nodded with a slight chuckle. "You did indeed."

Francine nodded "he's still cute I think." She smirked softly and laughed softly as she could. She didn't want to startle Jot with her loud laugh

Lily looked to Sakuni. Then she looked to Kudan nervously. "Kudan...." She sighed "I'm too old for this war...." She said sadly licking his cheeck.
Sakuni just looked to them. "Mum, dad: I miss Romy.... She wasn't so bad.... In fact she, Kelly, Sakuni and Lindsay were good friends of mine." She cried slightly.

Romy high-pawed Kelly and laughed. 'Come on, girls, let's give a few of these cubs a wash. They're filthy!' She pulled a fawn-coloured cub close to her and began licking it thoroughly.

Staniel turned and gently cuffed Jot, who gave a little squeal of a giggle and scampered off to hide behind Francine.

Kelly nodded in agreement pulling a cub gently towards her and cleaning it gently. She laughed as he tried to free himself. "They are a little stubborn for youngsters arent they?" She turned to her sisterly friend laughing to her. Then the brown, blue eyes lioness yawned quietly and smiled.

Francine chuckled softly, licking jot. "Its okay sweetie. Hes your daddy now.." She smiled gently then yawned tiredly. "Cubs are a lot of hard work arent they?"

Kudan turned to Lily and nuzzled her." You are never old, Lily," said the dark-furred lion, softly. "On the outside and the inside."

Then he bent his head to his daughter, and licked her head. "I know, Sweet-One. But we can't have anything to do with them, now that they are with Obbler."

Lily smiled slightly then sighed nuzzling Sakuni. "Dear it's for your sake,.." She explained. Sakuni nodded sadly looking to her friends Rin and Len. "At least I have you two..."
Rin nodded with a slight smile.

Len looks uneasy.

Back at the cave there were strange noises everywhere, a small creaking noise came from above Rosie, Jafiya had been gone for quite awhile.

A black shape hid in the trees, watching the lioness with curious eyes.

Rin looked to Len sadly,

Rosies ears pricked down in worry. "Jafiya... what was that noise?" She asked him trying to sound like her brave, usual self but it was definetly not working

But Jafiya had not heard her, he had run off to tell the others that they had found a cave to rest for the night.
The creaking noise grew louder, then stopped suddenly.

Jafiya met the others outside the jungle.'We have found a cave,' he said.'Rosie is waiting for us.'

Rosie flinched at the sound and growled quietly.

Sakuni, Jet and Lily smiled slightly at the good news. Rin smiled looking Jafiya. She looked up to the tall lionn. "Sir.... What is it like there?"

The lioness had finished milking Sula, she watched the cub crawl blindly on the cave floor.
The lioness's bottom lip hug out.' Nay, no more milk!' She said, as Sula began to make her way towards the older lion, searching for more food.

The lioness picked the black cub up by the scruff and dropped Sula in her nest.
'Sleep!' Ordered the lion, sitting down and glaring at the cub.'You think your smart, don't yea?'

No answer.

'You think I'll milk you some more, don't yea?'

Still no answer.

Kelly heard the shouts "still..." She winced at the shouting. "She doesn't have to be so harsh does she really?"
