Willow walked out as Steve locked the door for the night. "I have a mate now." Cheyhaivo quit smiling and yawned. Willow layed next to Cheyhaivo. The next day, Steve sold Daddy to a farmer from the border of Canada. After that, nightfall came again. The next week, Willow spent her time in Steve's room. Alone. Not even Cheyhaivo got to see her. After that, Cheyhaivo was called in Steve's room by Steve. All of the dogs followed. There, there were four pups on Willow's right side, drinking milk. "Their names are Ritz, Riley, and Sky. And you can name the fourth one." Willow smiled. Cheyhaivo grinned and looked at the last pup, she looked a lot like Cheyhaivo. Only, she didn't have the dark grey rings around her eyes like Cheyhaivo. "Jenna. We'll call her Jenna." Cheyhaivo licked Willow's cheek.

"What do you Know! Pups. Wonderful..." Teslin said. He wondered what it would be like to be a Father. You know what? He was going to ask her.... He just had to build up the nerve to say it. He walked over to Snowflake. He was very nervous to ask her if she wanted pups. He really wanted to be a father. He walked over and sat down next to Snowflake. He could notice she was starting to go into heat. Now would be the time to ask. "Say, uh... Snowflake? Would you be, uh.. Interested in... in... being a mother?" He asked her nervously yet kindly.

Snowflake looked at Teslin.Snowflake smiled.Her eyes were filled with joy and love."Of course. I would love to be a mother."she said nuzzling Teslin.

Snowflake looked at Teslin."What would you name the pups when their born?"she asked Teslin thinking of names.Snowflake wanted to have pups.She wanted to be a mother and she was glad she would be a mother soon.

"Well... Maybe we would name them... uh... I honestly have no clue..." Teslin said, kinda embarrassed. Well, he would have to think about that. "How about, Frost, Chevak, and let me think of other names. What about you? What would you name some of them?" He asked Snowflake.

"I would name one..Tugger..Glacier..Teslin.."she replied.Snowflake was happy."So when are we having our pups?"she asked laughing a bit.

"Well I don't really know how much we are going to have..but we still should think of names for them."she said stretching going to lay down on the floor."I'm gonna take a nap."she said curling up falling asleep.

Cheyhaivo laughed. "Chevek was my father's name." He barked.

"Wow.That was really your father's name?"she asked.Snowflake woke up after a few minutes of napping.Snowflake puffed up her tail to it's 'fluffy' look.Snowflake stretched out and yawned.

"Really?" Teslin Asked him. "I didn't know..." He told Cheyhaivo. "Well Snowflake, should we uh... mate tomorrow?" He whispered in her ear. But before she could answer, Steve took Teslin and Snowflake to his room and closed the door. "Uh... Okay then..." Teslin said nervously.

Snowflake looked out the window."Are we racing today?"she asked.Snowflake walked over to Teslin."I'm feeling a bit..weird."she said to Teslin.

"Like I'm nervous.."she said.Snowflake sat down looking at Steve.Snowflake didn't even whimper.She stayed very quiet.

Steve left the room, and shut the door. Teslin scratched softly at the door. "Hey, does anybody know what he's doing?" He barked through the door. He walked over to Snowflake and sat beside her, waiting for an answer from the others...

Snowflake's ears flattened.Snowflake started scratching at the door."Hello?"she barked.Snowflake kept scratching and scratching and scratching the door and Steve came to open the door.

Its not really called mate or mateing. Its called breed, and /or breeding. Dog and wolves can be mates, but cannot really be mateing. They breed.


Cheyhaivo nodded. "Yes, and my mother's name was Burnie. Short for Bonita." Cheyhaivo looked to Snowflake. "Probably not. Not with my pups and if you and Teslin plan on having pups I don't think we should." Cheyhaivo dragged Willow's bed into the living room next to the fireplace.
