"Uh, okay Hiccup." Her and Nova continued walking, but she couldn't help but wonder what he was up to.

"Uh, Nova's gonna need to catch up too." Hiccup added.
"Wha-?" Nova exclaimed, looking back at Hiccup, whose eyes dared me to argue. "Oh, thats right, i do!" Nova said, trying not sound scripted.

"Uh, wha- never mind." She kept walking, wondering what they were doing.

"Nova, was June serious when she said- ahh, no, nevermind." Hiccup leaned against the wall of the shop. "What does she want me to do?" Hiccup implored after a pause and a coughing fit.
Nova shifted. "Okay, look Hiccup, I don't know if this if for real if its just a phase. She used to hate you before, no offense. I don't really know what happened, and i dont pretend to know about silly crushes. But please, try not to hurt her feelings. She's my only friend."
"I can try," Hiccup replied. "I gotta go find Astrid, tell June that I'll see her tomorrow." He hurried to the door.
"Hiccup!" Nova exclaimed, grabbing him by his shirt sleeve and turning him back around. "You can't just ignore her! She wants to talk to you, and appologize and work things out!"
"There's nothing to work out!" Hiccup said vehemently. "I have a girlfriend, Nova, and I dont want to screw that up. June is your responsibilty, not mine. I'm sorry." He left the shop, Nova standing speechless behind him. That was stupid, she told herself. I dont know why i though he would care. He seems like he cares, that he wants to help people, but hes not that person. Hes not, he just does what he has to do to stay in the good eye of the village. I guess we dont even matter to him.

After about 5 minutes, June was starting to wonder if they had totally forgotten about her. And after 10, she decided to go home. Ya know, I think I'll pay Astrid a visit....
When she arrived at Astrid's house, she knocked on the door. *knock, knock*

"Yea?" Astrid said opening the door. "Uh..." June was about to say how she likes Hiccup too, but something caught her eye. She saw, I Astrid's living room, Hiccup sitting on her couch. "That little son of a-" BANG! A viking behind them was moving some metal. "Sorry!" Said the viking. "Astrid." June said. "Yes?" Astrid replied. "I like Hiccup!" She blurted out all at once. "What!?" Hiccup said from inside the house. "What's going on Astrid?" Hiccup asked.
"Nothing sweetie!" Astrid yelled back. "Listen," Astrid started in a low voice. "you better leave, NOW!" Then Astrid slammed the door in June's face.

"Have you seen June?" Nova asked the twins. "No," Toffnut replied in obvious irritation. "You gonna enter out contest or what?" Ruffnut said, pulling out a roster.
"No, you idiots! I dont even have a dragon!"
"We see you with lots of dragons," Tuffnut said.
"They arent mine, i just train them." Now Nova was the one who was irritated. The twins would do that to you.
"Then whose are they?" Tuffnut asked.
"No ones! Stop badgering me!"
"Only if you kiss me." Tuffnut puckered his lips. Ruffnut made a face between nausea and delight.
"In your dreams." Nova retorted. Ruffnut snickered.
"Fine then, your loss." Tuffnut punched her in the shoulder.
"Probably not," Nova said, punching back harder.
"Ewww! Stop flirting you two!" Ruffnut complained.
"W-what?" Tuffnut spluttered. "That wasnt me, it was her!" He pointed at Nova.
"You know she walked away," Ruffnut informed her brother.

"Ruff! Shut up! We were supposed to get her to sign up and then tell her where June went!" Tuffnut looked over at Nova then realized he just gave away their good plan.
"Uh, please sign up!" "It's no use Tuff." Said his sister.

Nova walked away, the twins bickering behind her. Where was June? I hope she hasn't done something stupid again. She always just acts on impulse, Nova thought. She heard an almighty yell split the air. "Novanna Adalinda Ingimund!" Nova groaned- Her mother had the vocal power of a Thunder Drum, and like to use it whenever she felt it was necessary (it usually wasn't). It was quite embarrassing. June will just have to wait.

"Nova! Where have you been!? Me and your father had to eat dinner without you! Again!" Her mother stomped out of the house, looking at her daughter with anger.

Nova's face fell. "Sorry." She had gotten so caught up in June's lfe thay she had forgotten about her own. She haden't even trained any dragons yet! "Is there anything i can help with?" She asked her mother.

Her mother sighed. "I s'pose. Why don't you wash up for dinner while ai heat it up, then you can help your father in his work shed." "But-" Nova started, but her mother looked at her with one of her you-better-do-what-I-say-or-else looks. "Fine." Nova went in, ate dinner, then went to the back of her house to find her dad working on some things.

(I feel life we've run into a dead end, plot wise. Lets pick up somewhere else in the story, like the day of the race or something)

June was at the dragon stables readying Peace, and in the stable next to her was Hiccup and Toothless, preparing for the race. Nova had walked in a few minutes earlier to see how the two were doing, when June suggested that Nova should borrow one of the other teens' dragons.
Nova agreed, and went to Fishlegs's house to ask to borrow Meatlug, Fishlegs's dragon. He said sure cause he didn't want to be in the race anyhow, so that meant Nova was now in the race. She went to the stables and readied Meatlug, the female Gronckle that had a rough outside, but a sweet inside.
