"You're in," Rocky said to Star. "The Alpha, Angel, will give you a rank soon."

Loki stopped scratching and looked at Firefly, catching a whiff of her scent.

Star smiled. She got up and nuzzled him."Thank you."She said.

"Yeah, you're welcome," was Rocky reply and he scooted away from her. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take the other hunters out to find food."

Firefly felt a spider crawling on her and jumped up, just making the scent worse. She swiped the spider off and looked at him. Embarrassed for over reacting to such a tiny bug.

Star sighed and laid down

Loki laughed at Firefly's reaction and said to her, "You know...my pack could use a girl like you." He looked at the female to see how she'd react to what he said.

Firefly looked over at him and smiled, "Well, that's an offer I can't decline." She said and smiled deeper. Meaning she wanted to be part of his pack. She wagged her tail but stopped, self awareness.

"Yeah, I'm sure this pack," he looked over Firefly's shoulder at Rocky signaling for the rest of the hunters and Angel going back to her den. "They wouldn't know how to treat ya. C'mon." Loki trotted off toward his home, stopping only for Firefly to catch up.

Firefly smiled some, looking down and then back up at him. She jogged over to him to catch up, slowing into a walk when she was at his side. Firefly just observed the beautiful scenery. Getting deep into her thoughts.

Loki stayed quiet as he and his soon-to-be pack member walked through the woods. He had only wanted to bring her with him to keep her closer to him; as long as she was in his same pack, Loki could make sure no other male could get to Firefly.

Firefly thought of how Loki stepped in and guarded her when that other male was being a jerk. That took a true friend to do something like that for someone like her. Firefly smiled to herself, thinking of ways she could repay him. Any way possible.

The wolves had finally reached their destination and, on the rock Loki usually used as a watch post, another, larger wolf was there. The canine saw them approaching and jumped off the rock; as he ran up to them he called out. "Loki! Where have you been?" The brown male looked at Firefly. "You bought a girl, eh? You KNOW the Alpha's not going to be happy about this..."

Loki growled at the other and said, "I can care less what he thinks."

Firefly moved a little closer to Loki, not sure about these other wolves yet. Although she could speak fine she acted as a wolf, sniffing the other wolf from where she stood. Not reaching over or nearing him in any way. The age and gender could be told by sniffing.

"Mmm, alright," the wolf said and backed up. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

Firefly looked at Loki and then at the other wolf. She still stood there quietly, debating mentally on whether or not she should just leave so that Loki wouldn't get into trouble with his alpha. She didn't want him to get in trouble.
