Spencer's reply was a grumble from Iggy's stomach. "Hungry?" he asked. "Again? B-but you just ate..."
Iggy rolled her eyes. Obviously SOMEONE doesn't take into consideration that there's a little one enjoying his mother's food, too she thought.

"Okay," Spencer sighed and stood up. "Come on, let's find you some food."
Iggy smirked and followed her mate, feeling small kicks in her stomach along the way. She grimaced and sighed.

Finally, the two dogs made it to the dumpsters behind a fancy International restaurant in town. Standing on her hind legs, Iggy nudged open a trash can with her nose and began digging around for anything that at least smelled good in there.

Spencer stood back and watched. "I guess you can take care of yourself, huh?" he chuckled.

Kandas stood up from the grass and shook some of it off his fur. He decided to go ahead and head home...wherever that was.

Peggy felt the kick again and Cyril put a paw on her belly.

Kandas passed by Peggy and Cyril. He grimaced and kept walking by. He needed to find somewhere to sleep tonight.

Iggy found a few scraps of left over steak, which she gulped down without chewing. She stuck her head back into the dumpster to find more.

Kandas soon found a nice, comfy-looking alley with tons of rags scattered around. He picked a few up and made a makeshift bed with them.

Iggy finished eating and went back over to Spencer who said, "We can go home now, right?"
Iggy nodded and they started to walk back to their abandoned house.
