Ian lookedover at Kat and scowled.
"I loved him, he always looked up to me..Dad hated me."

"That's just the way it goes, I guess." Kat said, showing no compassion towards Ian. She squinted at the still raising sun and sighed, "But...I mean...Why didn't you ever run away...You can, I can see that. But why didn't you?" She asked.

"I didn't want my brother to see me as weak, so I put up with my father." Ian said. "Enough about me."

"But you all ready know a whole bunch about me!" Kat complianed.

"I don't need to know anymore about you, just shut up already." Ian snapped, running a hand through his fiery red hair.

Kat snapped her jaw shut, looking at the ground and frowning. If she were smart she'd keep her mouth shut, if she had any people skills she'd just leave it, but Kat was angry, and it was hurting her judgment.
"What's your favorite color?" She teased, snickering a bit.

"Red, and it's the color i'm going to cover with if you dont shut it." Ian snarled, making his own horse neigh a bit.

"What's your favorite time of the year?" Kat teased further, a wry smile growing on her face.

Ian sighed loudly, and continued his way along the path.
"Fall." He answered boredly.

"What animals do you like?" She questioned further.

That question made Ian pause and think.
"I don't really like animals. Never had one, never thought about them." He answered honestly.

"Well, I like cats" She snickered, rolling her eyes and smiling.

"I s'pose Cats aren't too bad." Ian mused, before snapping himself out of it. He grunted and went stiff, before going silent, simply prodding ahead on his largeh orse.

"You don't like showing a lot of emotion, do you?" Kat asked, she found herself riding alongside him, studying his reactions.

"Emotions make a man weak," Ian explaine gruffly, not bothering to look at Kat.
