"You never knew him." she said. "And he doesn't know you. If he ever met you as a cub, you would have become the best of friends. You don't know how much you two are alike."

"I'm not joking." she said. She pulled the leftover meat towards him and sat down next to him. "Maybe you both'll see one day."

Sauda felt her face get hot. "Thanks." she said, shyly. Then, both of them ate the leftover meat and Sauda walked into the den. "Good night." she said to him before she went into the den.

Chaka scowled at the two.I can't believe her. he thought angrily. He moved closer to his sister Shani and his best friend Akili. Sauda let out a rhythmic purr as she drifted off to sleep. She had no idea what was happening, but she liked it a lot. But she was also concerned about her relationship with her brother. Her friendship with Alonzo was tearing them apart. I wish you would just understand! she thought, frustrated with her brother.

"Beautiful sunrise, huh?" Sauda grinned at the astonished look on Alonzo's face when he found her standing next to him. "My father and I used to get up early every morning to see the sunrise." she told him.

"My dad says we could scout around the water-hole, see if any of the predators are breaking the law about not hunting at the water-hole." Sauda said.

"Alright." Sauda laughed and ran after him. She overtook him and ran to the water-hole. She sat there, waiting for a panting Alonzo to catch up with her.
