Aleu blinked, staring at her father oddly as he spoke. She coughed lightly. "Well, what else have you done without me, Papa?" she asked, giving a little smirk.

"Well we saved Christmas," said Balto. "Saved Katie from a sadistic, psychopathic dog fighting ring owner who may be werewolf...something I'm forbidden from talking about due to the space time contimum."

Tai giggled when she saw the look on Aleu's face. "You'd be used to it by now, Auntie." she said, giving a grin. Aleu looked even more confused.

"Well, not even the pups really know the last one," said Balto. "We're not able to tell anyone for an important reason," he explained. "Anyway, yeah, life is WEIRD now, the Amarok is certainly up there, but still things are strange."

Aleu chuckled, looking confused again. "I'm a little glad I've been away, if things have been so hectic. I also feel a little out of the loop." she smiled softly. "I still mised you though."

Jenna smiled, falling back to nudge Balto. "Weird is an understatement." she said.
Aleu laughed lightly, shrugging. "Well, things are about to get that much more weird."

"There is nothing scarier or difficult to take down than this monster." Aleu whispered, so she wouldn't scare the pups.

Balto looked down at his chest scar. "I kind of think we may have faced something harder to take down, no offense."

Aleu nodded, unable to stopp looking at the scar. "It looks like somethng stabbed you... No animal could make a stab wound that big."
Blaze giggled, looking about as they walked. She was a ball of energy, looking into knotholes and dens, crying out when a badger poked his head out abd growled at her.
Katie smiled, picking te pup up by the scruff. She set Blaz down by her siblings, nudging her along. "and this is why you stay by us, sweetie."

Balto nodded. He walked Aleu off to the side long enough that the pups couldn't hear them. "About a year ago...a dog named Tina showed up in Nome," he explained. "She was identical to your mother, except she had wolfish eyes and paws...that was because was our descendent from the year 2010."
"Momma, what that thing?" asked Denali, refering to the badger as it returned to its den.
