"Because." she simply awnsered.

David snarled at Temple and said angrily "Because isn't good enough Temple. Now STOP harassing me."

Temple sighed. "I want to know what you were going to say. I don't need to have an explanation for everything I ask."

David calmed down and said calmly and politely "I'll answer your question if you answer mine. I'll ask my question again even. Why do you want to know? If you answer that question truthfully and give me no more excuses then I'll answer yours truthfully but if you don't then you can harass me and I will never budge."

"I... want to know. You acted like you cared for me. You acted like you liked me. Earlier you would of shredded me for a couple of mice. But then you cared about me. I want to know because of those reasons."

David looked straight at Temple and asked firmly "And If I said I cared for you?"

Temple said nothing, but jus starred at him. "What are you saying?"

David starred at Temple and said "You heard me."

Temple backed away, looking defiant. "I don't care about you. You shouldn't care about me either." she said, and walked away.

David shook his head and walked the streets, looking for something he could do to get his mind off of Temple. He mentally was snarling at himself the whole time.

Tonight's the night. she thought. I'm getting Calico and Ruger out.

The humans had a couple of dog whistles and whistled for David and the other dogs to come back because it was getting pretty late and the dogs were no where to be seen.

Once David came back with the other dogs, he went to his spot to curl up and sleep.

Temple scotted towards the building, silent and swift.

David was still awake when he smelled a scent that he would never forget, and he got up and followed it as quickly as possible. When he was looking Temple straight in the eyes, he snarled and said "Leave. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

"No." Temple said, and shouldered passed him.
