Shay was obviously unaware of Hera's thoughts, it wasn't as if she was Angel. She was glad that she had a friend like Hera. It had started in the School, and to Shay, seemed unbreakable. Hurtling towards the ground, she pulled herself out of her thoughts, and pulled up, cutting the dive short inorder to land safely in a small grove of trees.
Suddenly, her palms began to sweat. She wiped them off on her shirt, peering through the leaves briefly. She pulled back before seeing anything.
Now nervous, for seemingly no apparent reason, she waited for Hera to land, not wanting to look before she did.

Shay wasn't going anywhere until her curiousity was satiated. "What is it, Hera?" she asked, pulling on her friend's arm.

The blood red eyes met hers, and he lunged. Startled, Hera barely took to the air, and he missed by inches.

((They should....considering the were made at the School and lived there for years.  )) Shay bit her lip to keep from screaming. A small sound escaped her, and she stumbled backwards, her wings opening behind her. As she hurled herself into the air, a hand closed around her leg, yanking her back down. She could feel the Eraser's claws dig into her leg, and the blood trickling down from the punture marks. She kicked at the arm with her free leg, and felt the pressure slacken. Immediatly, she flapped her wings harder, and was soon free.

Shay nodded, her mouth still too dry to speak. She examined the puncture marks on her leg the best she could, but it was harder than you would think considering she was flying.

"Doesn't look very good." Hera said, examining Shay. "When we hit the ground, I'm cleaning that up for you."
She hid her worry well, but the wound was oozing, and looked pretty bad.

O.o It's been awhile D: Been busy lately.
"That's bull." Hera shot back. "Absolute bull! And you could have been injured even worse! I know you were just curious, but we can't afford being injured! And... when Max sees that leg, she'll flip out! So much for flying alone; she won't let us out of her sight, and let's face it, who can blame her!"
"The day Max is right." She mumbled under her breath.
Then she sighed. "I'm sorry, I'm just a bit worried. I've got a couple of things to clean you up with; let's land in that tree over there. It should be sufficient protection from prying eyes."
She gestered towards a weeping willow, whose thick branches and delicate leaves provided decent coverage.

Shay opened her mouth to protest, but closed it just as quickly, sighing instead. "Fine," she agreed releculantly, altering her course. She was soon stumbling to a stop. Putting weight on her leg made her wince, but she managed to hide it for the most part.

"Here, lemme see that." Hera said, looking at the leg with a grimace of distaste. She removed a small bottle of rubbing alcohol Max had given her for 'emergency purposes'. She supposed this qualified. There were also a couple of cotton pads as well. All of this was tucked into her jean pockets. She cleaned the wound as best as she could, though she knew it would sting like heck.
Then, she tore the sleeve of her shirt, since it was long, and the other one in turn. The make shift bandage did little to stop the bleeding, but a little was better than nothing at all.
Slowly, the sun set above the horizon. "We'll have to stay here for the night." She said. "There's no way we'll make it back to Max on time, and it's pointless trying to move that leg for at least a day."

Shay grimaced at the sting, making a fist in an attempt to relieve some of it. It didn't work, and as Hera mentioned staying the night, Shay almost protested. But the pain made her close her mouth again. "Fine," she said.

Dusk slowly crept over her, and Hera soon felt fatigue spread over her. Shay was in a good enough position to rest, so Hera climbed a bit higher, and fell asleep to the sound of the wind blowing through the willow tree's leaves.
